So the BBC are only showing some of the events? (and it's only on red button, which I can't access?)
I'm feeling torn. I know that I *should* be pleased that the BBC are covering figure skating, but I like the ISU coverage and don't want to lose that...
Sorry, I should have made clear that the iPlayer and the BBC website was showing all the comeptitions. But I didn't want to repeat what
@throw_triple_flip had already said. The purpose of my post was just to add the bit of extra information about the linear coverage.
I'm really not happy about the Eurosport change.

Jumping from £6.99 per month to £30.99 is huge. Yes, there is the option of the 'Basic' package for £3.99 per month, but it sounds like that doesn't include cycling at all. I'm not sure what I am going to do. The only cycling currently on mainstream UK TV is the Tour de France and Tour of Britain. ITV aren't keeping the rights to the former beyond this year (ITV's choice) and the Tour of Britain has a rather uncertain future. On Eurosport, there was cycling to watch most days between Feb-Sept and I did watch stuff most days. I have no interest in any of the other sports which the TNT thing will provide.
I wasn't interested in cycling, but growing up, I got interested in so many sports that were shown on Eurosport. Motorbike racing, figure skating, ski sports, snooker, women's football (before it got ruined by becoming popular). I got interested in them because they were in our package. I have no interest whatsoever in mainstream sports.
I admit that we already have TNT Sports. It was free with our broadband when it orignally launched as BT Sport, and we kept it for the MotoGP when they started charging for it. That said, we downgraded to Standard Definition quite a few years ago, because the price for High Definition had got so high that we couldn't justify it. After all, MotoGP is the only thing we watch on it. (Yes, I know we could subscribe to the coverage on the MotoGP website for a good bit less, but you can't watch it on the TV, and the World Feed commentators are not as good. They're too young, and their knowledge doesn't go back far enough).
I was hoping that when Eurosport and TNT were brought together, that all the non-mainstream sports would be moved to the Standard (i.e. Eurosport) tier, and the Premium (i.e. TNT Sports) tier would be kept for just the mainstream sports. That way, we could cancel the Premium tier and just keep the Standard tier. But, no, they are doing away with the Standard tier, and putting everything onto the Premium tier.
Do the bosses not understand that paying silly money for stuff they don't want is putting people off subscribing? If they divided it up the way I described, it would attract more people to each package!
It's the same with Sky Sports. We currently get the Formula 1 bundled with the HD pack on Sky+. But I know that at some stage we will have to give in and switch to SkyQ, and that bundle isn't available on it. Provided it is a reasonable price, I would be happy enough to pay for a Sky Sports package consisting of the F1 and the other non-mainstream sports. After all, it would be nice to have the netball. But no, to get the F1, you have to take out the whole shebang. And there is no way we are doing that! So, we are sticking with Sky+ until we are forced to switch, at which stage we will probably just cancel Sky completely, since the channel we watch most, Eurosport, will be gone.
So far, I have seen uproar amongst the cycling, motorbike racing, and snooker fans. They don't want to be subsidising the football, rugby and cricket rights, and are prepared to do without rather than pay the extra. So I really can see this decision backfiring big time.
At least, I hope it does!
