2025 European Championships Men's Free Skate

I know it's the official format, but the swiss flag always looks a bit funny hanging beside the others since it is so short.

I didn't mind Frangipani, but Memola is something totally different and I jumped on his train as soon as all of his 6 feet showed up in juniors
Well... someone Italian can confirm that but I think they pick their skaters with total scores at various competitions... At least, that's how the 3 were selected for Euros... So Memola is probably going to make it to worlds..

Nikolaj is positively towering over the other boys on the podium, Lukas gets a height boost with the top spot on the podium and his curls and he's still nowhere close
Not to be too effusive, but this is a sport that relies on the physics of jumping and being 1.95m couldn't be more of a hindrance but he jumps with room to spare. He's 21 so maybe this is the start of something for him. I would make him number 1 for Italy. He has been threatening this kind of performance for a while.

Lol, Memola towering over everyone from the silver step. His quad lutzes are stunners. Great skate today.

Lukas absolutely the performance of the night. His choreography is creative and has integrity but not pretentious. He has an ability to connect with the audience and emote with both body and face. His jumps were beautiful today. Following Nordeback, you could see the different level of quality on everything. I just really like him.

Jump errors aside, I really dislike ASHF's Dune. I hate the choreography decisions with the lie-down and stopping later. His backflip has never been pretty, and it loses the wow factor when it's after a messy skate like that. His ankles also really didn't need it. The 4T wasn't working today, but his 3A axis is also off more often than not. Hope he learns to fix it.
