I would not recognize Dasha here:
Coaching in China:
Maybe the students are learning Russian...I still dont totally understand how so many Russians can go effectively coach in China. Are they supposed to learn Chinese or what? Thats not easy. Is it easy to coach in skating with a language barrier? I wouldn't imagine so.
That would be my guess, too.Maybe the students are learning Russian...

I also presume the necessary dictionary is limited and consists mostly of technical terms so it should be manageable on both sides to some level.Thats still a huge task I imagine. Is it popular to learn Russian in China? Especially for sports? I see a lot of Russian coaches going to China. Must be good money there. I cant imagine them learning Russian well enough for coaching. Maybe if its for young kids learning basics but they wouldn't need Dasha there for that and the girl in the picture above seems older.
You have to use a lot of advanced abstract vocab & grammar to explain the proprioception behind athleticsI also presume the necessary dictionary is limited and consists mostly of technical terms so it should be manageable on both sides to some level.
For start I think some hint card is enough, with words like edge, outside, inside, jump, spin, glide, fast, slow, high, low, bend and so (apart from technical terms like Axel, Lutz that I suppose are universal). Also she is not the coach on the ice I suppose, the others might explain what is missed on one side or the other. After all it works for some time already so they surely have some way of communication. You have to use a lot of advanced abstract vocab & grammar to explain the proprioception behind athletics
