I am so heartbroken for the child version of me.
Michelle Trachtenberg who plays Casey Carlyle in Ice princess passed away today.
It said via news she passed from post surgery complications...
She was only 39 years old.
While this movie to most skaters is a joke,( Cause it is silly to land a triple in two months) I know for a lot of skaters it inspired them to start there figure skating journey. I always quote " When you pull in your arms, you'll spin faster, and when i apply more force to my toe pick." It always made me giggle.
Rest easy Michelle, you'll always be remembered.

Thank you for posting this, Meg Lu. I was going to now.
Back in that day, I was on the Sasha Fans forum. I bought the DVD as soon as it came out. The criticisms were accurate. We were laughing about it, but not AT it. It was campy, but it was very safe for all ages. I remember that scene: "You just landed a triple!" I'm laughing right now, but I'm upset because she was SO YOUNG, and as an actress, she could glide with the best of them.
