2024-25 Russian Local Events – Discussion

Championship of Moscow Older age starts tomorrow:
Schedule

It's a Moscow qualification for Russian nationals older age. So far there is only the schedule so I don't put it in the links thread yet.

Maria Mazur made a mistake in the transition so she then was thrown out of concentration for the combo.

I don't know Daria Lebedeva. She is new to Eteri school if I understand. She was in CSKA but skated for the last time in about a year ago. Quite solid skate.

I'm surprised skaters like Zaikina, Solntseva, and Monogarova aren't here...And I'm even more surprised that Lukashova, Margarita, and Lidia ARE here, given that they were probably already going to be included in the junior reserve

I would expect Dokukina and Korchazhnikova here too. Although maybe it is requiter that they had to turn 11 before 1st July 2024?

probably not unless they changed the rules, since Sonya S competed here last year despite being born in the 2nd half of 2012

For me, the main discoveries of today were Yana Ivanov and Alena Telyatnikova. Yana has great height on her jumps, and while her expressiveness needs some work, she does a great job of performing with her body. Telyatnikova is kind of the opposite. Her jump need some work, but she is a great little performer! Shame she didn't qualify for the free. Margarita, imo, was saved by her overscored pcs
