Err, given what I understand he has said about Malinin, I would call that sheer self-defence. (He has also lashed out at Yuzuru, Shoma, Nathan Chen... pretty much every top male skater)

He believes that anyone who trains with Tutberidze will be ineligible because they were previously associated with a skater who is now banned. We've had discussions about TSL every few months for years and years and years.
These comments are on another level. This is officially the ninth circle of hell. The others were not.
I saw reactions that were pretty much "But it was behind a paywall, it shouldn't have been shared!" I don't see how that justifies his comments. He gets to be extra-snarky behind a paywall and shame on the people who expose what he said since it's supposed to be paid for?

He's useful for gossip about skaters they don't like that they want to hear, to feel like they're as much as an insider as he is. And they keep paying and paying and paying to continue their subscription, even begging him to unblock them on Twitter so their "hot takes" can be validated by him with his insider information.
Apparently he's done and said many worse disparaging things about skaters, it's just the paid subscribers never bothered to share because they like to kiki over it instead.

I was one who had to go and hear what he said. It was much like his usual gibberish and I played it four times...I normally cant listen to him anyway due to the stream of conciousness way he talks...so disjointed....he puts his mouth in gear before his brain. I wont miss him.

OK, all I have ever seen his is FB posts....so he has some channel people actually pay to hear him? Wow.
I used to follow them on YT. But after he was laughing out loud over a skater how bad she was (she won worlds), I quit.
We all have our opinions in this sport, and I'm sure a lot of people don't like mine, but there is a limit to how far you can take it.
Of course he is a member here. We just don't know who it is.
There is no reason to automatically assume any person is a member here.

He used to post here and even used his own name and answered questions and had discussions.
I haven’t posted regularly in a while but I definitely remember his presence here.
Someone could pretend to be Benoit Richaud and answer questions. Or even Yuzuru Hanyu . . .

Obviously but I’m nearly certain there was a tentative agreement between GS and Dave which granted him access to here.
I hate to speak on their behalf but I’m almost
there was a brief partnership with him at some point. Not that there is anything wrong with that

He has (had now?) quite a lot of influence because of his podcasts, media etc and his links and inside info with the skating community, and to be (reluctantly) fair, he has done good work with making sure abuse allegations etc are covered.
I wouldn't give this guy the time of day. But that's me.
