I think they were alleging the discrimination was because they were Israeli, not because they were Jewish. Which could happen, I guess; you do hear sometimes of people boycotting Israel (e.g. the UK academic boycott - not sure were that stands these days). However, those initiatives are usually not in the US.

True, but anti-Israeli Jewish action just strains my imagination too much... Oh, and academia is in its own bubble - many US universities had petitions on that as well. :disapp:

I know - I'm just trying to be creative . You could argue that if they were letting Morozov run things, and he was discriminating against Z/Z, then the owners may be liable. But then you'd expect Morozov to be named in the lawsuit, which I don't believe he is. Very confusing.

Maybe I was fortunate to have professors at university who thought they were there to teach psychology and to do research, not to discuss their political opinions. I guess it depends on where you go to school and what you major in.

Really? I have never heard about a UK academic boycott of Israel. Truth be told i'm not even sure i understand the boycott would be on? Accepting students?

There are two strains to the boycott. The more radical is to sever all academic relations with Israeli universities. The more realistic one (which has also made its rounds in the US) is to divest university money from investments in Israeli firms.
