Lindsay Thorngren

So so sorry to learn Lindsey was dropped from USFS competitive list for the upcoming season. Her coach has been with her since the beginning but perhaps a change there a year or two ago, if resources allowed, would have been advised. I love her low key approach to performance but it is not popular in a US competitor. So many fans on the internet are upset about it, as am I, but it is what it is. She has my devotion and support whatever her future holds🌷😻🫶🏼 and I hope we find she uses her skating talent with grace and wisdom going forward.
Just posting here an article written October 2024 with little known facts about her.. she has an interest in track and field, for example.

How I would say it is that Lindsay's name has disappeared from USFS ISP list. I of course wish her the best.
In the absence of any official explanation of why her name disappeared, my belief is that USFS did not take any initiative to "drop" Lindsay from the list. The implication to me is that USFS received word from Lindsay that she does not intend to compete for Team USA in the coming season.
Below is a comparison of stats from 2024-25 season for Alexa Gasparotto and for Lindsay. IIRC, Alexa was added to ISP after Sectionals. Alexa remains on ISP list now. I have no doubt that Lindsay's 2024-25 results continue to exceed ISP requirements.
For Lindsay: highest NQS score 191.55 (at Mid-Atlantics); Nats 159.88; ISU SB 179.45 (Budapest Trophy).
For Alexa: highest NQS 159.51 (Skate the Lake); Sectionals 170.17; Nats 151.46; only international score 143.86 (Maria Oleszewska Memorial).

We can hope that Lindsay will surprise us like Alysa did.

I thought that maybe she would want to compete for Dominican Republic (her mother's country), but from what I know, Dominican Republic isn't an ISU member right now... I still hope to see her compete in the future.

Lindsay could be a World Champion. She has everything and more- her own distinct style of skating. All what she needs is to find self confidence and to skate in inner freedom. When there will be a self confidence, then also her technical issues will go away with a proper work of course, but work to be done in the right spirit.

she could be excellent good in a medical field

I very much would like to send Lindsay few words of appreciation for her wonderful, soul touching skating. I do not have- and never had- an Instagram, or Facebook or X account and, in general, I am like to stay away from all social media platforms ( except two figure skating forums). Could any American fan of Lindsay be so kind and suggest me how can I send Lindsay thank you for her skating? email?? any other way?

it would be nice to collect appreciation words of her fans in general but I am too busy to commit myself to this at this moment of time

Such a lovely suggestion! 🌷I have taken myself off Instagram and (mostly) Facebook and do not (and never will) have an X account. Lindsey has an account (but is not a huge presence) on Instagram .. not sure about FB or X.. so I have liked her videos, stories on Instagram when I had my private account and she has answered “Thank you”. I am sure making positive comments on her YouTube videos would be a great way to support her too!
I also followed her coach Julia Lautowa and her young daughter Skylar on Instagram. I know other GS members have been in touch with skaters they like by sending cards, gifts messages care of their training facility. She has represented her country well throughout her junior and senior years. 🌷

I’ve always preferred her skating to Isabeaus.
