Kazuki Tomono

Not Kazuki getting headliner treatment - he is the first to appear in Mainichi's FaOI gallery of pictures 🤩

He performed his new Halston today, and fans said it was amazing. They said the first half is actually quite different, and the whole programme feels more flowy and confident. Can't wait to see it!
It seems his collab with Yu Shirota had a vampire theme 🧛‍♂️ but I'm not sure what was the song (any Shirota fans here?)

A gifted article..If it has been posted..my apologies..https://digital.asahi.com/articles/ASS8W2410S8WUTQP01NM.html?ptoken=01JWJNEN0K5HAHA67SK4WRZJER A few cute pics of Kazuki..one w Yuna's head on his shoulder..I don't know how to post..

I'm glad to see that non-no is covering figure skating again, and Kazuki is at the top of their photo gallery. I was worried about their relationship since they didn't post anything for Kazuki's birthday, but it seems it's all OK. Side note, Kazuki is looking super buff 💪

Deep Edge Plus posted the list of FaOI programmes - it seems that the vampire one was a group number. Once again, Kazuki got headliner treatment, being mentioned in both of their tweets:

His collab number with Yuna also made the headlines, which is very nice to see! Everyone is praising this number, I really hope we get to see the video once the broadcast has been aired: https://www.sponichi.co.jp/sports/news/2025/05/31/kiji/20250531s00079000295000c.html

Tomono Kazuki & Aoki Yuna, active skaters dream collaboration: Fantasy on Ice

The Makuhari performance of the figure skating ice show "Fantasy on Ice" opened on the 31st at the Makuhari Event Hall in Chiba.

A collaborative number was performed by two active skaters, Tomono Kazuki (Daiichi Juken Group), a three-time World Championship participant in the men's division, and Aoki Yuna (MF Academy), who placed third in the 2024 NHK Trophy in the women's division. They captivated the audience by dancing to "Chopin Fantaisie-Impromptu" and "Vivaldi Winter" in chic black costumes.

In the solo, Aoki gave a passionate performance of "Like You're God," while Tomono successfully jumped one after another in "Halston." They showed off their unique dance moves.

Can the Japanese skaters just found a company together, and start selling stuff like Tomono curry or Sota mini towels at international competitions, please? I know I'd stop at the stand for sure :)

According to USFS..Grand Prix assignments are coming out tomorrow..
Please, God, no Skate Canada for Kazuki... This is all I ask 📿

Meanwhile, Deep Edge Plus published a new interview with Kazuki, but sadly behind a paywall: 'I want to complete the drama in Milan' where his skating life began

RIP there goes his last chance of making GPF... Skate Canada is the worst assignment for Kazuki. Also two GPs in NA in two weeks... JSF hating him until the end

I still hope Kazuki will be sent to a senior B or a Challenger in Europe, though affording it will be dubious for me bc of WC and possibly Finlandia. Good luck to Kazuki in Canada and USA! Okay, why is everyone so pessimistic about SC? I checked out the entries, and while Malinin is practically unbeatable, I don't think the others are? In the best case scenario for Kazuki, he can still walk away with silver as far as I am concerned. If Aymoz showed up in his hit-or-miss shape, if Egadze gets the low PCS and GoE he deserves, if Kazuki gets soundly better PCS than Kao which would also be fully deserved, plus Kao makes mistakes more often than Shun... who is there to threaten Kazuki's placement? Memola may also get less love than this season as judges are moody creatures. Selevko is a hit or miss. It's not that bad IMO?

It's not about the competitors, it's about the location itself. Historically, for some reason he tends to bomb when he's assigned to Skate Canada, not only at Skate Canada itself but the season overall. He did Skate Canada in the horrific 2018-19 season and also in the 2023-24 season in which he didn't get any second half of the season assignments. So, I'm traumatised...

Okay, I see. But third time is the charm! Perhaps this will be his year! He has a new mindset this season, too. I hope it goes as well as possible for him. 🍀 I wonder if SC has a gala this year?
