They need to be age eligible to compete for Canada from the selection document for NextGen. She would have met the target score in October, and they can add skaters based on monitoring. This is why I'm leaning and not certain, hopefully she enters a JGP selection competition for an answer. But the Korean JGP qualifier (which she'd have to compete at to even get any JGP assignments) is usually also in the last ten days of July and that would collide with the July Ontario Sectional SeriesAre there any rules about who can get invited to NextGen camp+competition?
(Also wondering about Victoria Barakhtina, who hasn't competed at all in Canadian domestic competitions yet, but must surely have been released by now.)
Robert's interview write-ups are always so nice! Thanks @saine.Robert Brodie interviews Madeline Schizas:

'It was time to learn something new'
Much as it made her roar during the past season, Maddie Schizas has been forced to move on from 'The Lion King' for the Olympic campaignrwbrodiewrites.substack.com
Yeah, the cost for music rights got the Lion King.
I don't think you are likely to have anyone in those categories in contention for JGPF qualification. If you don't, it makes sense to give international experience to as many skaters as possible.only 5 spots for men and women... i guess we may see 5 different skaters on the circuit,
I hope so, there's number of men entering their last season of Junior eligibility. I'd like to see them get a chance at competing Senior internationally and get a chance for the 4CC minimums.I would hope that our top juniors are also given each at least one B competition. Ones with lots of international skaters attending
Considering his built, not too surprising. Maybe he knows his longevity is in pairs rather than trying to learn quads ? I wish him all the best....Bit of a surprise to me, but David Shteyngart is on Icepartnersearch:

All the best of luck for him to find a pairs partner, there are a lot of talented girls out there, so I'm sure there will be someone who is a good match for him.
Off topic, but Clare Seo is also on this list despite being removed from the USFS ISP... Wonder what's going on with thatAnd Gabrielle Daleman is entered in the Broadmoor Open for the short and the free - https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/results/2025/36136/index.asp
Isn't it an open competition, rather than an ISU international? If so, I don't think skaters need to be selected by their Fed to enter?Off topic, but Clare Seo is also on this list despite being removed from the USFS ISP... Wonder what's going on with that![]()
Wow! I posted that I thought he would be an ideal male partner in Pairs and then this happens….Bit of a surprise to me, but David Shteyngart is on Icepartnersearch:
