I have a question.
Since we moved to XenForo, when you paste a table in using WYSIWYG mode, all colours in the table, be they font colours or background colours, get stripped out. And whereas you were able to put the font colours back in yourself afterwards, you were not able to put the background colours back in.
However, when editing a table in an existing post there now, I noticed that the header row now has a pale blue background rather than just a thick blue border at the bottom of the cells. And that got me wondering if it was now possible to have background colours in other cells. So, I experimented by pasting in a table with coloured backgrounds using WYSIWYG mode, and got all excited when the background colours remained in the table.
But, when I went into coding mode, and then either into Preview mode or back to WYSIWYG mode, the background colours got stripped out. Curiously, the font colours did not get stripped out.
Is there any way that the background colours can remain? Or even a way to put them back in yourself?
The reason I ask is that, in the Word documents that I have for my Fan Fest OP's, all the events in the various tables are colour-coded to make it easy to spot what type of event it is (Major Championship, GP, Challenger, other international, National Championship, other domestic). And I would love to be able to have them displayed the same way in the actual threads.
It's not a problem if it isn't possible. We've managed alright without having background colours in tables until now. But, I'm just curious to know if it is now possible.
There are probably lots of changes that I haven't spotted yet. But of the changes that I have spotted, I like them.
Thank you to everybody backstage that has made this update possible.
