Giselle Graves and Bryan Pierro are a new Pairs team for Canada.
- Dana Sabatini-Speciale / Danny Kaye (South Africa)
New Ice Dance team - Dana Sabatini-Speciale/Danny Kaye:
Not sure which country they'll compete for, they'd have four options to choose from after all - CAN, ITA, GBR, IRLBarbara Fusar Poli is tagged, so maybe that's a small tip-off towards Italy?
Further update on these two - It seems like they have decided to skate for Great Britain after all.Update for Dana Sabatini-Speciale/Danny Kaye, they're going to represent South Africa:
Ah, I was suspecting it when I did a little digging regarding a different new team and those two were in a photo together. Didn't want to get ahead of myself, though, so I decided to wait until it was official - Guess this is as official as it's going to get.Lucy Hancock and Aiden Dotzert are a new Ice Dance team from the Skate Ontario August entries - https://skateontario.org/wp-content...Series-August-Interim-Entry-Lists_June-25.pdf
They're representing Kitchener-Waterloo Skating Club, there is no confirmation of which country they're representing since the list has Miura/Kihara representing Skate Oakville.
Also this means thatCaroline Kravets/Aiden Dotzert have split. I liked them together.
Rebecca is also competing under Novice Women here, so she would need to be under 17 before July 1 by the Skate Canada requirements for it. So definitely not Senior eligible internationally either. Also, there's a new pair on that entry list as well - Rebecca Laiu/Marty Haubrich. They are listed as Juniors but would not be Junior-eligible internationally (and I think they might not be Senior-eligible either, as Rebecca skated in U14 competitions in February of 2023). As both previously skated at Canadian domestic competitions, I assume they will also represent Canada as a team.
And here's the new ice dance team I was actually looking into when I stumbled over Hancock/Dotzert: Lara Luft / Ilias Fourati for HUNAh, I was suspecting it when I did a little digging regarding a different new team and those two were in a photo together.
Hancock/Dotzert confirmed for Canada now.Lucy Hancock and Aiden Dotzert are a new Ice Dance team from the Skate Ontario August entries.

Also, maybe something nice for Francetoo: New Junior Ice Dance team - Alexandra Balyan / Dominic Andrei.
Well, that's indeed a very edgy way to be clear about one's goals. I wish him to find his match.Well, that partnership was over in no time. Post removed, and Dominic Andrei is back on IcePartnerSearch - With a rather strongly worded update to the "Short Answers" section![]()
In that not-so-Short Answer he comes across as Scrooge on Ice: "What? You want to spend Christmas Day with your family instead of working with me in a gruelling 12-hour practice session? Out you go. New partner! New partner!"Well, that partnership was over in no time. It may seem harsh, but if that's the way he feels now is the time to say it, before he gets into a partnership that won't work out in the long run.In that not-so-Short Answer he comes across as Scrooge on Ice: "What? For me there are huge problems in this:I don't think he comes across too badly, at least in my eye. If anything it's refreshing to see someone who is honest (at his own risk, there) about it. Here's hoping that doesn't dramatically slow down his search for a suitable partner.
The fact is, he is lucky to be a boy. He was a free skater who has managed to find partners almost instantly without much background in the sport or a body of work - amongst the hundreds of hard working girls who also want what he wants, yet seem to have no opportunities to get any partner at all. He's had 3 partners by my count in 2 years, and will easily get another partner. He's a good skater, but there are many girls better than him who may never get a partner. He's in a very privileged position really. He's worked with many top coaches before (Maurizio Margaglio, Barbara Fusar Poli etc), who have produced couples from the ground up that are challenging for world medals and compete at the highest level in senior. Yet somehow couldn't find a single suitable skater who works hard enough for him? To me it seems very suspicious....Although everyone in ice dance tells me that I am "lucky" to be a boy, this is starting to seem less and less true because all I want is a partner who is willing to sacrifice everything for results

Literally so excited for this. I quite enjoyed Hannah as a singles skater, and I don't think it's a secret that I love pairs skating, so I'm happy about each new pair (and at least this means that not all pairs spots for Ukraine will go to waste, would be even better if the ISU redistributed pairs JGP spots as well, but that's not going to happen anytime soon. I wonder if their other Junior pair & Novice pair will also do the JGP.)Hannah Herrera and Ivan Khobta are a new Pairs team for Ukraine

They'll complete on the JGP (Thailand and Poland) as well as the Challenger series.
Also Ayumi Kagotani (you may know her as Kaori's and Mai's training mate in Hyogo) is now listed in Kinoshita Academy's list of trainees and stated that she is trying Pairs.... Lucas Tsuyoshi Honda's new partner?
