2025 Skate Milwaukee & US Junior Cup of Skating will take place July 9-13, 2025, at the Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee, WI.

It will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of U.S. Figure Skating, as set forth in the current rulebook, as well as any pertinent updates that have been posted on the U.S. Figure Skating website.

Start orders for the Junior Team Cup are up now.

Kirk Haugeto has a broken wrist, so that's likely why he isn't competing here.

Wow!!
Sherry Zhang is back in Juniors again.
She didn’t compete here last year.
She is my favourite junior skater from USA
Also, I’m kind of rooting for Emilie and Jessica. Both of them have been learning the 3A over the break.
Sophie will be interesting too. She was so inconsistent at her recent domestic event.
To me, this event starts the new season 👏

Also, I’m excited to watch the boys too.

Junior Cup used to be streamed for free many moons ago but they have been charging for a few years now. It’s getting more expensive and now there isn’t even audio. Every year I really want to watch this, but I can’t justify the cost for a stream without music. I don’t agree with how the USFS has handled this copyright situation, especially the burden these rules have placed on the skaters and their families because they refuse to make the proper arrangements for the rights, and I don’t really want to support it.

This may be a long shot but I thought I’d ask.

A couple of years ago someone recorded the entire Junior Cup and uploaded it to share with everyone. Is that person still around? Or is anyone buying this stream and might be willing to share?

I don’t think I can buy it but I miss this event. It’s one of the best competitions to watch our upcoming juniors and really unfortunate that they won’t arrange for it to be on Peacock.

Patrick Blackwell was the class of the boys field.

Hannah Kim must have skated perfect in the SP. 14 skaters to go….

Jason Brown's IG stories has him flying to Milwaukee (from Toronto).

I know he did choreo for one of Lorenzo's programs. I wonder if he will be at the Boards or at a KnC? Or it could be a completely unrelated trip. :)

I’m guessing Sherry had a fall. A clean SP for her internationally has been 62, and domestically 67. I really want her to get on the JGP again!

Rachel Samiri has been the biggest surprise for me, but I looked up her record and it sounds like she has been quite successful. Now old enough for Juniors.

No fall, 2A, 3Lz3T<, 3Lo forward

Jason is doing spin demonstrations here, according to the Skate Milwaukee schedule.

Rachel was amazing in Intermediates last season, and outclassed the field in the few Novice competitions she did in May/June. Great decision for her to move up to Juniors and skip Novices almost completely. Age was not a limiting factor, at least not domestically, but her coaches (or parents) made great pacing decisions for her.

I wish that some of my favorites could have done a little better, but there’s still the free skate. I want to keep an open mind for the new (to me) skaters who could become new favorites :) Overall, scores look pretty good. Hannah Kim and Angela Shao are really working up there, as they did at Nationals and Challenge Cup 2025. Best wishes to all the girls for the free, and thank you thank you Elyce that we now have 14 JGP slots to distribute.

I know! 2A must have felt weird after that 😲

Sophie Joline could gain a lot in the FS. I’m rooting for her, Sherry, Emilia, Jessica, and Sofia B. Hannah and Angela are my second tier favorites. I like Cleo too and hope she gets something out of the FS. I’m sorry Logan had to withdraw, hope she is okay 🤞 Rachel is exciting, interested to see where she goes.

I wish a solo 3A was allowed in Junior women’s short programs; I will never understand why they must be done in combination. I believe two solo 3A’s are allowed in Junior women’s free programs.
