Feige/Middlekauff, Fischer/Fischer and Calhoun/Zheltyshev scored above the ISP minimums for the first time, so they should be added to the pool soon. The USA now has enough teams to fill all 14 of their JGP spots (they only had 6 eligible teams in the ISP before).

Nice improvement in scores for some of the other teams, particularly Robertson/Rohner.
It will be interesting to see how the JGP series shakes out this season, lots of close scores here.

It looks like the Browns had a very good Rhythm Dance, as they lead by about three points after that segment. 75+, which isn't bad this early in the season for a team trying to make their mark.

Yes, the person who shot the videos is on the judges' side, and the vast majority of Lake Placid spectators sit on the judges' side, meaning that they are not seen in the person's videos.
Only a very small percentage of spectators sit on the opposite side, as seen in the videos.
Lake Placid spectators are both knowledgeable of the sport and very supportive of all competitors.

Thank you for sharing this. I'm not a particularly big fan of the Browns, but I've been very intrigued since they announced their FD music (admirably early, I might add).

This looks like adults skating, and I like it very much. Sure, there's room to improve with speed and the smoothness of the transitions, but this is an excellent base to start the season.

I didn't see the RD but it scored well. I assume it won't have the same grown-up vibe, since none of the others I watched did either. I'm just not a fan of these "themes" we keep getting from the ISU.

I like the Browns' free dance the most. I'd love to see their rythm dance with a head stand. Looks like Ye/Quan get a lot of hype fot their FD but I struggle to like anything to Adagio as I hate this song so much (choosing a version by Laura Bretan who was advocating for constitutional ban same sex marriage in Romania doesn't help at all). However, Hannah is a star and they are great performers. LeGacs - I don't get their program and costumes, as usually.
