Eva Pate & Logan Bye FD is nice, a very different FD than last years, it seem Polotvisian dances or anything related to ballet has ended it.

Pham & Spiridonov Ghost the musical FD is nice I like it , have musicality , is light and is a way like the movie the context of their FD

I like the Browns' free dance the most. I'd love to see their rythm dance with a head stand. Looks like Ye/Quan get a lot of hype fot their FD but I struggle to like anything to Adagio as I hate this song so much (choosing a version by Laura Bretan who was advocating for constitutional ban same sex marriage in Romania doesn't help at all). However, Hannah is a star and they are great performers. LeGacs - I don't get their program and costumes, as usually.

Lauriault/LeGac, their FD is Cleopatra/Ancient Egyptian themed and it's great. I'm excited to see it develop over the season.

Thanks. @TontoK had linked to these RDs, including Lim/Quan's, on another site user 'fiend_fyres' account, earlier in this thread. And yes, no Browns RD was found there, only the FD has surfaced. The random availability is strange. I guess those who recorded weren't able to be there to capture every program they might have desired to record.

It's so disappointing that those running the sport do not care about satisfying fan interest in Lake Placid Ice Dance summer competitions.

It's pleasant. I look forward to seeing their FD up close. From what I can see, the theme, movement style, and especially the costumes are obviously inspired by Flores/ Desyatov's crowd-pleasing West Side Story FD from 2023-24 season. Not surprising, as Flores/ Desyatov were such a charismatic, inspiring team whose impact and influence are still being felt, IMO. Of course, Flo/ Des exhibited more speed, power, and excitement.

Pham/Spirodonov are a nice-looking team. Hopefully, they will continue to grow and to find unique material that more fully expresses who they are as a team, including their individual personalities.

If what we've seen so far is an indication, this is going to be another disappointing year of RD's for me.

On the other hand, I like many of the FD's I've seen. I guess you can't please all of the people all of the time.

I agree from what I've seen. I wish the ISU would stop with these stupid decade and whatnot themes and go back to the way it used to be.

Will I ever play Jump Around for my personal listening pleasure? No, I will not.

But I think Oona and Gage have understood the assignment and captured the zeitgeist well. I would love the assignment to be "waltz". but I don't think that will happen.

Frankly my favorite singles skaters are choosing artists I do not know, songs I do not know, or even worse, Elvis I can tolerate Jump Around.

But, really. Headstands in the middle of the step sequence? No, that's not for me. And, I'm not just picking on them. I wasn't impressed with any of the RDs I saw here. Let's chalk it up to early season, and everyone will get better, and the choreographic kinks will be worked out.

And skaters REALLY DO make changes to their programs. Remember all those music cuts in the C/B RD last year that everyone complained about? Those were trimmed down by end of season. Hopeful that I'll like the next iterations of this season's RDs better.

Agreed my friend, that improvements can happen. Chock/Bates RD last year was a great example. I am meh about the headstands, but I did think the rest of the RD captured hip hop.

Well we agree about the headstands. I hated them... and they are dangerous. A loss of balance could cause severe head/neck injury or one of the partner could hurt the other with their blade. Why can't skaters just skate. Cartwheels, some of the knee glides (i like some) and now headstands... I guess I am just getting older and older

I know they are basic hip-hop moves... in break dance, people even do a rotation on their head... but that's on the ground... not on a slippery surface... and done with shoes... not with blades.

I wish it too and I hope they won't continue this crapy themes in the next cycle. I would welcome even polka with a huge enthusiasm. Also I wish they get rid of those ridicolous slides and acrobatics, intensional falls, character step seqs and touching the boards trend. All programs look the same and the "creative" ideas get worse and worse every seasons. My hopes are not strong though, knowing ISU.
