And, finally, you cannot compare to sui-han winning the Olympics with the quad twist because here, it wouldn't haven made them win. So yeah.. I am all for looking into things but i don't like the theatrics here. Quad or triple, that's not where the Chinese team would have won it. ... and pretty much no mention at all of Ava and Yoni nor Julia and Étienne who won a medal at their first international event.

So yeah. I lost a bit of respect for mr wong. If you are going to do a 40 minute review of what happened during the weekend, you can acknowledge more than just a TP failure.

Michelle Ellis was the other commentator, he just named her. No idea who she is..

(and now, I am feeling dumb because I didn't see it live LOL.) and apparently, it was obvious to everyone online... but not to me,... nor to the TP lol
Just go back to youtube and watch it three times and the Ted and Mark slow mo and their remarks three times like I did. LOL!

For me, thats not the point. The system is broken . Planned content says triple. If Kaori's says "double Axel" and she does a 3A, she should get credit for it. The system is broken and needs to be fixed to bring back credibility (if that is even possible after all we have seen) to FS.

jackie wong and guest (no idea who it is) on the quad twist.

He is wrong though... The Tech Panel did review it as Mark said. Twists are most often reviewed like most leveled elements.

Any tech panel who made an honest attempt to reviewed this element knows less about skating than I do, and that is saying something. :ROFLMAO:

I do not know about that. To me, if we leave ice dance levels out of there, it's the first time that a quad has been called a triple. I have never seen something like that. I wouldn't say the system is broken here. People can make mistakes.

Of course! People make mistakes....even whole tech panels and judging panels can make mistakes. Look at just baseball and football and look at the technology they have.
Yes, instant replays are used in both professional baseball and football to review and overturn or uphold on-field calls, ensuring greater accuracy in critical situations. Major League Baseball introduced instant replay in 2008, while the National Football League implemented it in 1999 and made it a permanent fixture in 2007. The use of instant replay has become a accepted and expanding part of both sports, enhancing fairness by allowing officials to make more accurate rulings on specific types of plays.

THEY fixed their broken system. They know that people make mistakes...honest ones....I have seen dozens of aircraft crashes and sometimes I couldnt even tell you the color of the plane! But replays can tell many things....do they need replays for high school sports? No. Do they need replays for college/pro sports? Yes.
WE need replays and not just on a tiny monitor the tech/judge panel uses.

and yet, the hawk eye in tennis, which was supposed to fix all line calls, makes mistakes too.
I agree that technology should be used better in figure skating but the system failures, to me, is not about wrong tech calls most of the times.
PCS manipulation is much more of a hindrance to fair judging and i ain't seeing any machines that's ganna fix that one :)

YOU DO KNOW WE ARE GOING TO GET THROWN OFF THE FORUM? LOL!
Its not only PCSs that are manipulated...look at the judges and look at the grades for elements.....just sayin'
