2025 Kinoshita Group Cup Men's Short Program

That was a lovely elegant skate for him today. The camel spin had a lovely position with many extra revolutions. His jumps were clean, the opening quad was clean but really didn't have any flow out of it while the rest were very nice. A mature, measured skate from him. Smart!

Sota don't waste that axel on the warm-up. Remember the end goal is at the end of the season.

Skating to yesterday Sota lands the opening quad beautifully. 3F-3T clean. Triple axel with slight touchdown of free leg. That one looked like it hurt the most.

That was a mind over matter skate for him. It is a beautiful program skated with great sensitivity. He seems relieved their were no major mishaps 84.98 score into first.

Sihyeong is so tall! Down on the quad and hand down on the 3A. I use this song as the wake -up music to go to work and got confused for a second wondering if I was gonna be late.

Japanese painkillers, y'all...Best in town! Dangerous but extremely effective in the moment
I'm actually way more afraid of the Free. It's easier to "bullshit" your way through the Short, because you only do 3 jumping passes. but the Free is brutal anyway for many at the start of the season, even more so when you're injured.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him WD if he feels worse. At least he will have gotten great feedback for the SP and can regroup and get healthy for another crack at the free knowing that the short is in good order.

C'mon Tomoki. Lets lock in a good score and set yourself up for a good season.
