OMG. I know that rep for Audrey and Balazs has not been good, but right from the start, they were low-balled on GOE for the 3-twist. That was a very good 3-twist. I know the jumps were out of sync, but boy, judges do not usually take off like that when the jumps are landed. I didn't see what happened on the death spiral, but I see it's being explained. They are a better team than what they showed. But for goodness sake, it was obvious the judges did NOT have a high impression of them at all. They needed to at least be 61 to 62 to give themselves a fighting chance.
The fact that Audrey has been struggling on the throws did not go over well with the judges' impressions, obviously, added to their poor showing at John Nicks event, after a fairly decent showing at their summer outing. Too bad. Back to the drawing board to figure out what they want and who they truly are together as partners. I blame U.S. fed for overdoing the push in putting them together and expecting fireworks.
