Shoma for PIW Aichi and Tokyo!!!

Very curious on what programs he will do, since these are scheduled in between Ice Brave 2 and whether we may see something new....



Aw, the video he made for PIW, mentioning how he is grateful to Yoji, Tsune, Kohei and Yoshiki who have and will be working with him at Ice Brave 1 & 2. He mentioned something about now having the experience of creating and skating multiple programs in one show, and he's going to bring that onto the PIW show..... hhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. They have been hanging out a lot lol, maybe something is in the works? Something new, or something that can go between shows?

You and me both! I wonder what inspired Brother Tree to start posting these, or is it maybe Mother? I couldn't stop laughing when they went to that park. Things haven't changed! Baron is still racing around like a maniac.

There is a trend on Twitter where the user posted a post of "oh no I can't fit this photo as my header" and Shoma of course used his cantilever photo where his outstretched hand doesn't fit:



And the header............. of course.

I would think he had to since he is pro.

So PIW is one of the only shows that does a meet and greet in Japan?

It seems to me that Shoma did a lot of ice shows in his final competitive season. I think things have slowed down slightly since then, but that's probably due to taking creative control of his own show; creating something memorable takes time.

As for how long he'll keep doing shows for, that's impossible to say. But since Daisuke Takahashi is almost 40 years old and still doing ice shows (and we know Shoma has admired Daisuke), I think Shoma will still be skating in shows at that age too.

Would you say the number of shows Shoma has done since turning pro has increased or decreased? If you had to guess how long do you think he’ll keep skating as pro? How many more ice shows?

It's more than I thought he would do after retirement definitely didn't expect him to have his own show, even though timing-wise the best time to do it is before Olympics 2026 while he is still a reigning Olympic medalist. As for how long he'll do it, I think it depends on whether he has something he wants to do in shows. He can only skate with Marin at ice shows, so that's one thing that I think will keep him in if other shows gave them future opportunities.

Shoma also tends to do shows to support people who have supported him (like doing Prince Ice World and PIW members supporting him at Ice Brave... and of course L'Apprenti Sorcier for Stephane), so that can be the type of external shows he'll be doing.

Ice shows work quite well for Shoma with the gaming stuff he can't really use the rink until midnight so he's been able to enjoy some nice opportunities without it taking away from the ice time lol. His sleep schedule is likely shot to hell alas.

Given Shoma's propensity for playing games late at night during his competitive days, I'm not sure if he's ever had a proper sleep schedule...
