2025-26 Retirements, Splits and New Partnerships

If Uzbekistan has no team to fill their spot, then France is first in line to get it It does not necessarily need to go to Kovalevs although it likely will as they are their strongest team at this moment.
Kind of odd they would split considering they had an excellent shot and representing their country at the olympics.

Charlene Bailey and Nathan Bartholomay are a new Pairs team from the start orders on the Boston Open (here)

I'm assuming they're representing the US since they're representing the Skating Club of New York. The only Charlene Bailey involved with figure skating I could find is a Canadian costume designer/coach.
THE Nathan Bartholomay?

THE Nathan Bartholomay?
I checked Charlene Bailey's Instagram story archives, and she has an archived story with him tagged from August. So yes, it looks like he is back and partnered with her. She has done some Pairs before from one of her profiles, so she isn't completely new to it.

For those wondering who she has designed for, she has worked with Jazmine Desrochers/Kieran Thrasher (Amelie short, Led Zeppelin free) and Katherine Medland Spence (first Clair de Lune/Photograph costume from last season)

Didn't Katie McBeath partner with Daniil Parkman because Nathan wanted to retire, and she didn't? I guess he unretired - maybe Deanna inspired him? ;)

That's why I am so surprised. I remember that at the time it was stated quite often that he wanted to retire. And Deanna that icon, left him because of his injuries (there probably was more, but I don't know about that)?

As I have already thrown out my bingo card for this season, anyone waiting to hear if Alexa and Brandon unretire as well (hehe)?

Mariia Nekhaeva and Dmytriy Kravchenko (ISR) have split not even half a year after starting to skate together.

Nadiia Bashynska and Noe Perron will be a new ice dance team for Canada.

Nice that they are skating for Canada rather than France (and France did just get Laurence Fournier Beaudry :-))

Wow...I thought Nathan retired some years back after shoulder/back problems. Wasn't he teamed with Katie McBeath back then?
