Good skate for them, with the exception of the throws. The 2A is definitely much improved, so I’ll keep hoping for the throws to follow suit. They are such a good team, nice connection, nice extension and wonderful skating style.

I was afraid of that happening. They are a bit sloppy at this point in their career but still with a lot of potential. This program is more mature for them and going for lesser content done well would seem to be the idea, but loses them enough points to finish down. It is a learning day for them.

Wonder why Naomi and Lachlan chose to do doubles -- double twist, double throws, double toe? They can definitely do triples.

I see only two reasons.

One- injury prevented training.
Two - wanted to go clean to get JGPF

The strategy was fine. They could have made it if they were clean with the lower content. That's the real issue. If you are going to water down the content, execution needs to be flawless. In some ways, I don't like this strategy because as soon as a mistake is made, there is tension and pressure built in.

If it's option 2, unfortunately it backfired. They did not have enough lead compared to the 2nd Chinese and Canadian teams to keep the 3rd spot, and they also did not skate clean. So sad.
