I was doing better all season with our boysIt's Junior men's skating, that is rarely predictable. Remember Minkyu's 5th place at his first JGP last season? That's how unpredictable this discipline is.
Same for meAlso, predictions-wise - I had the right five skaters (I think), but in the very wrong order. I think I still get some points, but not a huge amount of them.
This was excitingly unpredictable! Here is to more of that!I got 20 points I think... usually I mess up the women... now I messed up men and most likely dance too![]()
I like surprises when skaters do well but not when they do not. I just woke up so I don't know if skaters skated well but some just skated better but I doubt so.This was excitingly unpredictable! Here is to more of that!
Both. The Japanese folded, US and Bel skated well, and if Long skated well, he might well have had his qualification as his content was on par with Kruglov's and he has better PCSs. Unfortunately, Long went for Canadian approach to figure skating, politely leaving the podium to others.I like surprises when skaters do well but not when they do not. So yeah.. if both Japanese boys folded, then, it's not necessarily good surprises. I will read the protocols while waking up. Thanks for the infoBoth. Japan already has 2 men in the final, and 4 women. More than enough. So yeah.. if both Japanese boys folded, then, it's not necessarily good surprises. I will read the protocols while waking up. Thanks for the info
Kevin van der Perren made it in 2001.Belgium potentially represented for the first time! All 3 big skating parts of the world! Yay!
Wow, that's so long ago, before Krouglov was even born, heh.Kevin van der Perren made it in 2001.
Sure but Canada has already 3 pairs and one ice dance team in the finals... still, I was hoping for Grayson to get his spot. His most costly mistake was that combo in the SP. It affected his PCS and skating order. I think he could have survived with the poorly rotated 3A but popping a flip. Le Sigh. Too bad. A variety of nations is always nice but if the skaters who are there earned their spots fair and square, I don't mind. I like all the skaters who qualified in women. Of course, I would have liked Hana Bath to qualify too but she missed out by not placing high enough on her first outing (I think she even kayaked herself) ... Anyways. sport is funJapan already has 2 boys in the final, and 4 women. More than enough.
I don't like the way qualifications went in women, with Von Felten and Bath left out. Replace any two Japanese with them, and it would be better imo. Europe, I agree, didn't fight fiercely enough this year, but Bath and Von Felten not making it sucks. Anyway, I think Long had a very real chance here, he simply didn't seize it, while Krouglov did. With Kazanecki landing these two gorgeous 4T in a low tech event, it just wouldn't be fair if he didn't win.Sure but Canada has already 3 pairs and one ice dance team in the finals... still, I was hoping for Grayson to get his spot.
