Any Boitano Lounge tips?

We're splurging on tickets to Nationals and wondering if the Boitano Lounge is as fun as it sounds? Which session would be most festive? On the one hand, surely there will be lots of skating superstars attending the Women's Free on Friday night, so better to go before for the anticipation of the drama or after the women's free event for the celebration? Appreciate any intel, thank you

While all the Boitano events draw a number of skating royalty, the post events typically are the best attended with fans, coaches and skaters.

Does anyone else find this incredibly expensive?
Considering to go to the breakfast now requires a $1k donation to USFS and you then have the opportunity to purchase breakfast tickets for $125, not really. Is it open bar?

per the USFS schedule it says Friday Jan 9th - at 10:30p is the woman's champions.
Right but it could be any of them. It could be Peggy Fleming (which would be cool in its own right). I don’t mind carrying roses for my Queen around all day, but if I carry them all day and she’s not there I’d get annoyed.

I still think it's expensive and since you don't know who's going to be there at what time - what a gamble.

Wait, did I read that right? You have to pay a thousand dollars up front in order to buy a ticket to the breakfast? The thou doesn't include breakfast?

Even political fundraisers throw in a chicken dinner when you contribute a million dollars to the campaign.

I think Brian Boitano should foot the bill. He's the naming sponsor.

Unfortunately yes, you read it right. It really broke my heart - used to be $60 and $25. I think if you donate more, 5k maybe? You get a free ticket or maybe even a pair of them.
I don’t donate money directly to USFS anymore.
Yes, I realize they get money from my Nationals tickets. But whatever money I donate goes directly to skaters now.
Still want to know if it’s open bar/free food or are those things just available for purchase.

according to this page food and drinks are included. I think the official USFS description implies that as well, but it isn't stated as explicitly as it is here. For $225, they should include some really good food and drinks.

The USFS page has a couple of other events you can pay to attend (for less than Boitano's lounge but more than $100), but they're less likely to feature Gracie.

Did Boitano's lounge in Columbus and it was amazing! And yes Im doing it again this year! The food was amazing, the drinks were great and I got to meet Gracie, Nancy, Terry Gannon, Lisa Marie Allen, Hung out with Timothy Goebal (I had met him before in Nashville and Greensboro, he is a blast) Ilia's dad I and kinda got to know each other because the girl I went with skates at their and we would save him a seat. Is it worth? Yes! I didn't have to wait in line for bad concession food and expensive at that I had a place to go between events and meet skating royalty! Its about paying for the experience and it was worth it in Columbus and Imagine it will be the same in St. Loius!
