Spencer & Emily, Val & Max and Olivia & Luke - you knew that I root for my home teams. Spencer & Emily have carried the flag for so long and it seems to be unraveling, Val & Max I love a lot but I'd rather take odds on them missing their jumps than landing them. Olivia & Luke were quite fun as juniors and this is a big step for them.

but two lifts were not good, especially the type 4 lift that never got into the other position...

that's going to hurt them but glad to see them land things

they improve their combined score by almost 40 points from John Nicks!

Overall, this was a really solid senior GP debut from Olivia and Luke. It's clear that they are just excited to be here, and they have a really genuine performance quality about them. They have great height on their throws and their twist has improved a lot since juniors, but their lifts are a bit shaky and they lost a lot of levels and GOE. They may have the best SBS jump sequence of the American teams here today, and I love their spirals in the choreo sequence; they are always a delight to watch.
