2025 Bosphorus Cup | Nov 25-30

The 2025 Bosphorus Cup is set to take place November 25-30, 2025, in Istanbul, Turkey, at the İBB Silivrikapı Ice Rink and Sports Facility.

The event will feature the Singles (Novice, Junior and Senior) and Ice Dance (Junior and Senior) disciplines and will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the ISU Special Regulations, and relevant ISU Communications.

Drat!!!! I got my times mixed up. It started 30 minutes ago, not 30 minutes from now!!!

The opening day of the Boshphorus Cup beings now with an Advanced Novice Singles double-bill, and then finishes with a Junior Singles double-bill.

Right, I have gone back to the start and am going to try to play catch-up. There are two re-surfacings during this six-group Advanced Novice session, and then a longer dinner break before the Juniors.

I'm stupid. It wasn't that I got the time difference wrong - I just plain thought it started an hour later (11:00 Turkish time) than what it did (10:00 Turkish time)

The Santa Claus Cup starts at 11:00 Hungarian time, so I guess that's how I got mixed up.

That was amusing.

Skater #4, Masal BURGU (TUR) had a good skate, and was thrown a pile of cuddly toys, which she gathered up. Just as she was about to reach the gate, she dropped one, and fell as she was trying to pick it up. She sat there against the boards for a moment all embarrassed, and then got up.

Her coach was at the gate, and he couldn't stop laughing. And neither could Masal.

She went into the lead.

And yes, I am now a full hour behind.
