2025 Bosphorus Cup | Nov 25-30

The penultimate skater, #33 Maiia BOHDAN (UKR), was wearing a one-sleeved black dress, with a cut out on the side with no sleeve that made it look like a bra and skirt on that side. It was beautiful!

The music, though, was strange. It was weird in the first thrid, and weird in the last third, with tranquility in the middle.

She goes into 5th position in the FS, and 2nd position overall.

The final skater, Tea SAJKO (HRV), was wearing a yellow dress with black trim.

At the start, she was skating to "Bang Bang" by Nancy Sinatra. Then it turned to whistling. And when the final piece of music came in, everything made sense.

She was good.

Awww, she's so happy waiting for her results.

After winning the SP by practically nothing, she wins both the FS and overall by some distance.

Day 3 is starting now, and we have a Senior Singles double-bill, followed by an Ice Dance double-bill.

We are starting a lot later than scheduled, so I take it that is an indication that there have been withdrawals.

Livestream for the Senior Ladies SP is now on air.

Here is the link for the livestream:

All the other information you may need can be found in the OP of this thread.

Hope this helps

:cheer: ALL THE BEST EVERYBODY!!! :cheer:

We are starting a lot later than scheduled, so I take it that is an indication that there have been withdrawals.

I don't know about withdrawals, but the times for everything today have changed since I opened the Time Schedule PDF's a couple of hours ago! :drama:

Which is a bit of a nuisence since I have already posted the reminders in the Fan Fest threads for my kids that are competing today.

As I suspected, we do have withdrawals. The first two skaters:

Sofiya FARAFONOVA (KAZ)
Ana Sofia BESCHEA (ROU)

Sofiya was probably the favourite! :drama:

So, we start with skater #3, Amira IRMATOVA (KAZ), who is wearing a blueish greyish dress. And skating to a beautiful piano piece that is not uncommon in figure skating, but I don't know the name of.

That was a pleasant way to start off a Saturday morning.

Angelina HARCHIK (TKM) is wearing a beautiful maroon dress. And skating to an instrumental piece that I am unfamiliar with. But, it is beautiful and dramatic!

I don't think I've seen her before, but she was good!

She goes into 2nd position.

Finishing off a very short opening group is the first skater from the host country, Ceren KARAŞ (TUR), who is wearing a beautiful royal blue dress.

She is skating to a beautiful piano piece. I don't know what it is, but at certain lines I keep attempting to sing "I see a red door..." to it. But it isn't "Paint It, Black"!

That was beautiful. Just beautiful.

She goes into 2nd position.

Sorry, I had to pop out urgently there after the Warm-Up. So I am now playing catch-up.

We start the second group with my baby girl Stefania Yakovleva's team-mate, Salma AGAMOVA (TUR), who is doing an 💃 olè programme.

She is wearing a gorgeous red dress, and skating to "Por Una Cabeza".

I absolutely loved that. But I am biased on so many levels. In relation to both the skater and the music.

She goes into 2nd position.

Zeynep Naz DOGAN (TUR) was wearing a cream dress and skating to the instrumental version of a song that I am singing in my head, but not quite getting the words sufficiently right to be able to find it in a lyrics search.

She goes into 4th position.

What a strange song that Saskia OUDEJANS (NED) was skating to! I have no idea what it was, but it had the exact same beat as "Heaven On Their Minds" from "Jesus Christ, Superstar".

She was wearing a black dress, with silver swirl pattern.

Unfortuantely, there were mistakes. But, when it is done clean, it will be so much fun!

She's clearly annoyed while waiting for her scores.

She goes into 5th position.

Antonina DUBININA (SRB) was skating to something more conventional. "My Sweet And Tender Beast" by Eugen Doga. And wearing a glittery silver dress.

I haven't checked everybody, but I am guessing she is the oldest skater in this competition.

You know, that was actually a beautiful programme. I hope she gets good scores. Because it must be frustrating for her to have plateaued for so long.

Well, she goes into the lead, but doesn't seem happy with the scores.

Defne Gunce KILIC (TUR) was wearing a jumpsuit where the top half was grey and the bottom half was black.

The strange thing is that she was skating to "Welcome To Burlesque" by Cher. Like, that costume does not go with the music at all!

Oh dear. That was a disaster skate. There's no other way to put it.

When she fell on her final spin, she just gave up and stayed sitting on the ice until the music finished.

Waiting for her scores, she seems to be philosophical about it. At least she's not crying.

Unsurprisingly, she goes into 8th and last position.

:ghug:

We're back. And hopefully we have the full quota of skaters from here on in.

CaroLiza_fan

Tara PRASAD (IND) was skatning to "Dirty Paws" by Of Monsters and Men.

She was wearing a silvery-goldy top and black leggings. And she has cut her hair short since I last saw her. I wouldn't have recognised her.

That was so good! She is definitely going to be the new leader.

Yep, she is. But only by about 2 points.

CaroLiza_fan

Cathryn LIMKETKAI (PHL) was skating to "Somewhere In Time" by John Barry.

I think her dress is grey. It's getting hard to see the colours. I'm not sure if it is the picture quality, or if we are starting to get fog in the rink.

It was a beautiful skate.

She's sitting on her own. But, she is keeping herself occupied playing with something,

She goes into 2nd position.

CaroLiza_fan

Kaussar YBRAIKYZY (KAZ) was wearing a black csotume. And skating to "Toxic" by Britney Spears.

It wasn't Liza Tuktamysheva's programme, but she made a good go of it.

She did have a fall, but it was in the fog, which I can now say is definitely building.

I think this is another new skater to me.

She goes into 11th position.

She is disappointed at going into last position.

CaroLiza_fan

Oops. I didn't notice Sabina ALIEVA (AZE) was in the entries. Well, with Farafonova out, it looks like the gold medal is sure to be going to Azerbaijan. But, which skater? Sabina or Nargiz?

Wearing black and skating to "Danse Macabre".

I love this music. And I like that Sabina has used a different edit to what what we usually get.

She is delighted with her scores. No wonder - it's her highest ever score for the SP!

New leader.
