British National Championships, 26-30 November 2025

Gorgeous Ana and Luke, I love this programme. Also love her dress!

So Appleby/Katayama, Davison/Borisov and McLeod/Ritchie will all be senior next season I think?

Wood /Lapsky and Shenton/Kirby are still definitely junior... And I think Wright/Dracas are eligible one more season? Think he turned 22 this season.
Wood/Lapsky age out of juniors at the end of this season (which is a shame because I think they need another season before moving up), as do Davison/Borisov. Ritchie/McLeod are age eligible for juniors for another season.

Davison and Borisov I think are ready to move up. I also think they should be the pair going to junior worlds this time.

Omg I thought Alex was a year younger, you are right 🫣 was hoping they had another year!

Oliver Raikes is a pleasing skater to watch, but he just doesn't have to jumps needed for singles. I hope he can find a new pairs partner because that discipline suits him better.

LOL Joseph Zakipour looking like a 17th century painter in the K&C with Jack Donovan and Tamara. 🎨🖼️🖌️

I'm sorry to say this, but Alex is not strong enough for Pairs or technically gifted enough, and is holding Zarah back. If possible she needs a younger, better partner and to stay in Juniors. This was evident from the start.

Lloyd is the kind of skater I really wish there was money for to send to a top coach somewhere. He is close to hitting that next level but he is just not quite getting there.

Congratulations Kirsten, loving Jenny's pronunciation of her surname with a rolled r, she must've asked her.

In my view she's our No.1 and deserves to go to Olympics if fit. She's improved hugely in recent years.

I was surprised Loyd didn't climb to 2nd in Junior Men, I thought he had the best Free Skate, mind you the cameras had a funny turn whilst Arin was skating and completely missed part of his program. 🙄

I am new to the forum, very much someone who just likes watching figure skating (particularly pairs and dance) and has no technical knowledge or personal experience as a skater. Definitely have some favourites that I don't like to miss - Ashlie and Louis, Zarah and Alex, Ana and Luke, and Phebe and James - and have enjoyed watching them over the past few days. I'm glad Ashlie and Louis have one more season as Juniors as it seems more than likely Mimi and Joseph will get the Junior Worlds spot. As much as I enjoy Zarah and Alex's programmes, their lifts don't seem to be improving much and are very slow. To my untrained eye, Zarah seems a stronger performer than Alex too. Neamh and Daniel have improved so much this season already and deserve to be the GB team at Junior Worlds - I'll have to have equal favourites!

Congratulations to all the British Champions.

Kristen's comeback highlight for me. What a rollercoaster of a year for her. I heard on a podcast that they are naming the Olympic Team in December, not sure exactly when perhaps after the Grand Prix Final when the ISU confirms Olympic Team entries - they won't be able to confirm Ed before then. But I think Kristen has proven herself this weekend so has earned selection.

Thankfully the Junior Dance Ceremony was smoothly done after the shambles of the Senior Dance ceremony.

Annabel Mann has beautiful long hair which she let down, like the Russians do for ceremonies.

A big THANK YOU to Jenny Bill, who did the entire event as Announcer and must be exhausted. We love you Jenny, you are simply the best, and we know you love Skating and Music, being a Rock chick, so some of that pop must have grated on you! 😂🙏😘🌟💖

Wind back to the basic novice. :)

Just watched them.

They are adorable!!!

They had a bit of bother with the Twizzles but, let's face it, lots of Ice Dancers a lot older than them have trouble with Twizzles too!

Hopefully they will stick with it and we will get to see more of them in the years to come.

Welcome, good to have you here! You sound like me, last time I stepped on ice I broke my arm but I do love to watch!

There's a turn up for the books! Tao beating Ed in the FS, and deservedly so. 👏
Tao was great, and delighted. I noticed he opened with a triple toe - quad toe in the works?

She must need a strepsil after five days of it!

Tao looked absolutely shocked at his score. I just wish he could replicate it in a senior international now. His better international scores are all junior competitions. Ed looked very relieved to still be in first place overall.

I think that today's results have just made the mens selection for junior worlds more challenging. Arin has only done one international this season and only scored 120 there. Edward has been fairly consistent. Tao got a lower score than Edward on the JGP but has completely outperformed the others today. Lloyd probably has the highest scoring potential, but the 3A makes him inconsistent.

Edward's been recovering from an injury that made him withdraw from Volvo Cup 56 2 weeks ago, when he couldn't even do free with single jumps. He'd only been able to start jumping a week ago and didn't have a full run through of the free even once. Hence I'm quite proud of him pulling the short the way he did and even more prouder to see his fight in the free... his dad here, by the way, hence so much insider info, but I suppose it's important for the context

Great to have you posting info here, thanks so much. 🥰🙏

Edward did remarkably well considering, all the best to him. If fully fit he deserves to go to Junior Worlds, and proved in the JGP he can perform on the big occasion. He's matured so much since Novice days, his family must be so proud. 👍
