Lithuanian National Championships, 13-14 December 2025

Just to let you know - I only managed to get the the Warm-Up for the Seniors Ladies watched before it was time to switch back to Spain.

But, I've still got the Lithuanian stream paused, and will finish it off once the Senior Ice Dance partnerships have finished. (I can watch the Novice partnerships and the Solo Dancers in the morning).

I'm back playing catch-up.

Meda VARIAKOJYTE (Startas) wearing a beautiful purple dress which looked black on the rink camera! Skating to "Je Te Laisserai Des Mots X Rumination" by Patrick Watson.

Boys, but this is an intense song to be skating to!

She had a fall early on, but was good for the rest of the programme.

She goes into the lead. Obviously.

She doesn't seem thrilled with the score.

Jogaile AGLINSKYTE (IceLab) wearing a peach dress. More French music. This time it's "T'Es OĂą" by Camille Lellouche.

That was lovely!

I think she might take the lead from Meda.

Yep, new leader.

Now, it's Bruce Forsyth. Sorry, Aleksandra GOLOVKINA (Dundee).

Beautiful combination jump to start with.

Just about got the next individual jump, but it still looked beautiful.

Again, just about landed the next jump, but not as gracefully. The Chaneg Foot Combination Spin and Flying Camel Spin immediately afterwards were beautiful.

Step Sequence beautiful.

And so was the final Layback Spin

A lot of support from the audience.

A doubel wave to the audience, and then she gathers up a couple of cuddly toys.

As I expected, David Richardson is with her. (Simon Briggs is in Spain). And so is Aleksandra's husband.

She goes into 3rd position.

The guys chuckle when the scores are announced. Aleks looks at them bemused.

Wow! There is barely 2.5 points covering all three of them. This is going to be an exciting Free Skate.

:cheer: WELL DONE ALEKSANDRA!!! :cheer:

No catch-ups for tomorrow. Everything has to be watched live. Luckily, I've managed to watch Day 1 almost live.

Phew. Thank goodness I paused the stream at the start of the Senior Ladies, rather than closed it.

Well, in that case, I will continue on and watch the boys. There's only the three of them, so it won't take long.

Mantas GRYBA (Startas) took so long to move after the music started playing that I thought it was the wrong music. It was "Nemesis".

He is wearing a black T-shirt, black gloves and black trousers. It looks strange having just a patch of skin bare on each lower arm.

Not a bad start.

He looked exhausted when he got back to the results area.

Gaaah! The "Stream Unavailable" message came up before he got his scores.

Well, we know he went into the lead, because he was the first to skate!

The stream didn't come back unti lhalfway through the programme from Luka IMEDASHVILI (UNQ Skating Academy). Which is a pity, because I can't remember the last time I saw a "Barber Of Seville" programme.

He was wearing a white shirt, green waistcoat, and black trousers. But, they were the fancy versions that they had in those days.

What I saw of the programme was really good.

Then the "Stream Unavailable" message returned jsut as his scores were being announced.

Checking the livescoring page, he went into a masive lead.

it looks like we only missed the first two elements of the sole Senior programme, from Daniel KORABELNIK (Stratas). He was wearing all black and skating to "Seven Nation Army".

Well, it looks like we arrived at the right time, because everything was green after the stream came back.

That was funny. As soon as he finished, he took off his hair tie, and let his long locks flow.

Ach, the "Stream Unavailable" message returned when he was waiting for his scores. And we didn't see any more.

Well, we know he is leading because he is the only Senior Men's skater.

Well, that was a frustrating final part to what was otherwise an enjoyable day.

Hopefully we won't have any issues tomorrow.

I am running a bit late, and was just writing my post about the stream being on air when it suddenly ended.

Day 2 has exactly the same running order as Day 1, but just starts a lot earlier. A Ladies SP triple-bill, followed by a Men's SP double-bill.

Livestream for the Advanced Novice Ladies FS competitions is now on air.

Here is the link for the livestream:

All the other information you may need can be found in the OP of this thread.

Hope this helps

:cheer: ALL THE BEST EVERYBODY!!! :cheer:

Didn't properly see the first skater, Kotryna KUBILIUTE (Elektrenu), because I was trying to sort everything out after the original stream ended.

But, I'll go back and watch her during the resurfacing.

RIght, she was wearing a purple dress and blue and silver pattern.

Although I didn't know the music, it gave me vibes of being from something like "Curse Of The Mummy's Tomb".

I enjoyed that. A good start to the day's action.

Ieva NORKUTE (LFLS) was wearing a beautiful purple dress with sparklies.

She was skating to "Shape Of My Heart" by my namesake, Sting.

Hand down on first element, and a few other issues.

She goes into 2nd position in both the FS and overall.

Elze PAKALNISKYTE (Startas) is wearing a jumpsuit that is mainly light blue, but with sections that I can only describe as pink leopardprint.

She is skating to a mess of a re-mix of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill". Why would anybody do that to a song as good as that?! 🙉

Thankfully, the skating wasn't a mess.

She and her coach are very talkative, and seem happy.

She goes into the lead of both the FS and overall.

Aukse MAZEIKYTE (Speigas) is wearing a gorgeous black and blue dress.

I have no idea what this music is, but I can hear traces of Beethoven's "FĂĽr Elise" in it. Whatever it is, it is dramatic and I love it!

Aukse's skate was just as dramatic, but not in a good way. It was not a good skate. Her starting position was sitting down on the ice, and unfortunately she was down there a few more times during the programme.

She's upset and annoyed with herself, but at least there are no tears.

She goes into 4th and last position in the FS, and 2nd position overall.
