I saw the CBC schedule yesterday and marked the events on my calendar so as not to do something silly like make a dental appointment on the wrong afternoon. I'll be watching on the laptop. The cat has been warned to make his complaints about a (half)empty food dish during ice resurfacings only.

Lovely that Dailymotion is on again. I am already looking forward to the championships (in my own time as I am not planning to do nightly watches!). The men are a particular favourite (although I will be watching pairs and ID as well).

This is my favorite name of a rink ever - it just makes me laugh. I once skated a show in slushy ice (90 degree Fahrenheit weather) and fell three times (a first and only time that ever happened). My costume was so soaked!
You have to be careful buying tickets, as there are TWO arenas in Canada named after the popular Slush Puppie. There is the Slush Puppie Centre in Gatinau and Slush Puppie Place in Kingston, Ont. They are a similar size (4000 / 5000 seats). It's a two hour drive between them, if you buy tickets for the wrong one!

Hmmm good to know. I have a cousin in Kingston.

I looked at the French CBC TV schedule and there is nothing in the weekend of Nationals. Maybe they will do a recap the following weekend... but that's very disappointing. It's the first time that I cannot spot TV coverage in French. It's often been very partial since everything is available on tou.tv or gem or what not... but even last year, I believe they had a 2 hour segment.

UGH.

Silver lining : though the commentator has sometimes very good technical insight, he gets on my nerves a lot (too loud) so at least, I won't be submitted to that...for now.. I am sure he will be there at the Olympics (Alain Goldberg)

Thanks for posting this. My computer will be schizophrenic with both countries running at the same time.

Easy for me. Will focus on Canadian Nationals. USA has more spots so it's less intriguing about who will make it to the games. Rarity of spots for Canada makes it all the more exciting
I'm going to watch both starting with the Men's sp which I think I can sandwich between the US's marathon of split groups. It's the kind of skating overload I like.
