If Stephen or Maddie are injured or sick, I doubt either of these two would miss this opportunity. Especially, Gabby with all her tears in the kiss n cry

Considering the games are in about a month... I think it's a very small sacrifice to make in case someone gets sick or injured or anything.

Well, something to consider
USA announced their 4CC spots: Zingas/Kolesnik have chosen to go to 4CC because they are 8th in the world standings and want to make a push for final ice dance flight positioning.

I wonder if any of our 12 Olympic athletes will consider doing the same

They will probably win.. so that's 840 points. Does that place then in 5th place ?

Ermmm. I am no expert in world standings. I believe though that they'd lose their 400 something points from two years ago as only two ISU championships will count. I think they'd still be behind Piper and Paul.

If CP won, then Piper and Paul may be out of top five. Allison and Saul need to win Euros which is not happening, to pass Piper and Paul. The other teams doing are already ahead and will remain ahead. FBC will skate early and open up the goe and PCS candy for others after.... I don't know..

Speculation on this from Jackie Wong on X: "Zingas/Kolesnik are currently 8th in ISU World Standing - I'm guessing it's possible for them to move up to the final group with 4CC points?"

I checked the thread. They didn't do the maths either. CPom are not going. So that's one team not adding points.
