2025-26 Junior Grand Prix Final Pairs Short Program

Where is the JGP being streamed in the U.S.? I can't find any videos on the ISU channel. All the videos indicate 'CBC, not available in the U.S.' I also do not see JGP coverage on Peacock.

There's an ongoing issue with geoblocking, apparently the JGPF streams are being geoblocked same like the senior ones despite not being aired anywhere else :(

AFAIK ISU is already looking into it, but still sucks for us as it leaves us no other option than VPN to non-blocked countries (New Zealand, Belgium for example)

CBC is geoblocking! Why, what's the point?! Peacock and NBC geoblocking should not affect other countries who have access to the ISU channel's GP coverage. Is YouTube trying to get people to sign up to their exorbitant subscription channel?! 😡

Is the geoblocking happening due to the event taking place in Japan. This entirely sucks. Everything today is made difficult due to opportunists.

Way to go ISU to build a figure skating audience! We can see jgp events, but not the jgpf! 🙄

Aren't the senior events being made available on the ISU Channel, or did some other broadcaster purchase the rights, i.e., NBC, in order to geoblock? 🙄😡

Way to go, sport of figure skating! 🤨

But the sugar rush from the brownie might help you stay awake a moment longer...:P

Depends on what type of brownies they are.
I had a brownie... the piece that wasn't fitting the container...

and there is nothing special in my brownies just dark chocolate, raspberries and hazelnuts....

I watched the first five minutes of Heated Rivalry.... they are both very handsome and that spinning scene is extremely hot already. After five minutes I am hooked LOL

The CBC is not doing that.
You are absolutely wrong. Here's the truth:

"Reasons for Geoblocking
Exclusive Broadcast Deals: The primary reason is that the ISU has sold exclusive rights to broadcasters in specific countries (e.g., NBC/Peacock in the USA, CBC in Canada, BBC in Great Britain, France TV in France, TV Asahi in Japan). To honor these contracts, the ISU must prevent viewers in those regions from accessing the free YouTube stream."

This doesn't make sense, though. It dies not help the sport or the fanbase. How are NBC, CBC, and Asahi TV benefiting from forcing fans to either get a VPN or not see these events, which used to be made easily available by the ISU?

And yet nothing in Canada is geoblocked, and the geoblocking of the Junior Grand Prix Final in the US has nothing to do with the CBC.

and I am telling you right now that I am watching this on YouTube and it's not geoblocked for Canadians... Did you get your info from AI ?

It does, clearly, as it states that the ISU sold exclusive rights to the CBC. In general, Canada is very lenient in allowing access to most of their competitions on Dailymotion, which is greatly appreciated. In this instance, due to the ISU selling exclusive rights to Canada for the JGPF, the event is being geoblocked. Why do you keep saying it's not CBC's fault? Both CBC and ISU are responsible for the geoblocking.

I never said it is geoblocked in Canada! It is not available on the ISU channel in the U.S. All the videos indicate that it is 'not being made available by the owner in your country.' For me, that means the U.S. Of course, Canadians have access in Canada because CBC owns the rights.

Skate Canada events are on Dailymotion. That's a different animal completely.
ISU events for which rights have been purchased by CBC are found both on CBC and available on YouTube for Canadians. There is no geoblocking of skating for Canadians at all.

If you want to try it... get a VPN for Canada and you will find the competition on Youtube ... like for all Canadians. CBC is a public broadcaster : we pay taxes for this (they get grants) so they don't need to block things like NCB or Peacock because there are no paid subscriptions for CBC. It's FREE. I find it relatively interesting that you would argue how this works with two Canadian guys who are actually living in Canada and watching this event on unblocked YouTube :)

I did not say it is geoblocked in Canada. It is just not being made available in other countries, unless fans have access to a VPN!

It's the ISU selling exclusive rights to an event they used to make readily available. That's the issue.
they don't sell exclusive rights to the JGP season but they do for the finals because it's combined with the seniors. It's simple logic.

And if it's blocked for you, it's because broadcasters form your own country wants you to pay for their subscriptions... so either you do that or you can get a free ride from us nice Canadians, using a VPN.

Enjoy !

I am not arguing anything. It clearly states that the ISU sold exclusive rights to the CBC, (senior events are available on NBC/ Peacock in the U.S. by subscription). The junior events are not owned by NBC/ Peacock. Apparently, the junior events were sold to CBC and perhaps Asahi TV purchased both junior and senior GP events.
