Blame my husband. He went for fishing at the morning and he is now preparing the fishes for food. Smell is not good here, Rinky escaped. Maybe he goes to another room (we do not have any door between living room I sit and kitchen he is working).

This was not Samoilov's competition. Even though I haven't forgiven him for stealing Andreas Top 10 place last year, I wanted him to do better than this...

He has more techical content than Nikita and for sure deserved his title, but I would have rather seen Nikita here. Not very much else than jumps. He had now 4 spins, did he miss the stsq? Mika says they decide later what the judges do.

I wonder whether he got muddled with his junior programme?

I wouldn't be surprised if Worlds get split with Starostin doing Worlds and Gartung Junior Worlds. Gartung did JGP, so it isn't like he had fully moved up to seniors and then would be dropping back down for Junior Worlds (which is something I don't like).

Two poor skates to start. Gartung has a lot of potential but a lot of work to do, programmes are very empty. Samoilov has huge potential but he is so inconsistent but he is such a nice skate to watch, he has a nice style. I’m glad he is going to the Olympics.

Gartung would have been 4th and Samoilov 2nd in the ladies free.

He is wearing a black jumpsuit with blue pattern down the left hand side.

Not perfect. But bettter than we have seen from him at other competitions.

He goes into the lead of both the FS and overall.

The rather large man sitting in front of me and his daughter(I assume) kept talking through the skate with the woman explaining what jump it was and such, god why did these people have to be the ones in front of me

I´m considering if I should make cinnamon rolls and after watching the first skate, I think I will need it

That was a bit of a mixed bag for Ed. Lovely 3Lz. He was injured earlier in the season and seems to be really struggling with the stamina needed for the FP. Tao Mcrae won the FP at Nationals and almost beat Ed overall because of it.
