The BBC coverage has been on for about 10 minutes.

The TNT Sports coverage actually started an hour before the BBC coverage. I was wondering "How on Earth are TNT going to fill that amount of time?!" So, I put it on while I was eating. They are doing a studio discussion. And I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of local input.

The coverage is presented by Orla Chennaoui (née Heron), who is from a town that is 15 miles from me. And one of the pundits is snowboarder Aimee Fuller who, although from Kent, grew up in Northern Ireland.

Anyway, about 25 minutes into the coverage, they showed a feature on Lilah and Lewis. And afterwards, Mark Hanretty was in the studio talking to Orla about the figure skating.

So, I wonder if he might be making an appearance in the TNT Sports / Eurosport commentary box at some stage.

It wouldn't be the first time he has commentated for Eurosport. The first time I heard him commentating was on Eurosport about 10 years ago, standing in for one of the regular guys who was sick.

Dangit, they just spoiled the team event and I haven't watched any of it yet...though I already had an idea of who was out front in the dance and women's team events.

Is anyone else having trouble with the sound cutting out of the CBC stream for a few seconds at a time? It happened a couple of times during skating- just the arena sound, not the commentary, so I know it's not my stream

Still playing fluff pieces on CBC. I thought it was supposed to start at 2?

edit: oh wait here we go I think

Just starting now on TNT Sports.

Nick Mullins and I think Catherine Whitaker commentating. (It's Catherine somebody, anyway. I didn't hear the surname).

EDIT: Yep, once we reached the Parade Of Nations, it became obvious that it was Catherine Whitaker. She was talking a lot about figure skating!
