THANK YOU so much to the forum user who reminded me about the other stream feed on Peacock. It’s called “venue”, the music sounds great (even minimal 5.1 surround) AND there is no commentary!!!! I highly recommend!

Edit: honestly between this and the training feeds, it’s worth purchasing for a month if you don’t have it already. Only diwnside is the venue feed is live only and…stuff isn’t the easiest to navigate.

For example medal finals and qualifiers/prelims both show as live with not a lot of info.

Our commentators are talkative this time. I may try Swedish one, if she is not so talkative. Not possible to mute.

Personally, I would love to see all the team events in this sport using the WTT rules, but with 12 teams.

But that is a discussion for another place.

the WTT rules ? Are you really implying that a team event should become a fluff event with so much on single skating ? 12 teams ? How ? Look at Great Britain... who would be their second singles skater ?

I am forgiving you because you are not fully aware of how this team event functions :)

They are again playing snake without the apple.

YES!

At least your analogy is better than the analogy we had yesterday...

Except in the event of a tie. Japan and US could easily finish in a tie. I understood that it gets broken by comparing the highest two scores from each team against each other. I don't recall if it's the TES score, or the total score...but there are a couple of ways ties can be broken. I played with some numbers and found ways that those two countries could literally finish in a tie. Myself, I don't mind either way--I LOVE these skaters, period!

I'm hoping from great skates all around. For me, it's weird that the Team event event has its 'Final' without all the teams doing both events, whether some events get done twice by the same individual(s) or some get split. It'd be a more fair arrangement to have every team skate both the SP and LP events, then total up the points earned.
My impression was the the first tiebreaker is the highest two points (as in 10 points for 1st, 9 for 2nd, etc), rather than scores. And them maybe scores was used as a secondary tiebreaker. I can't find the rule doc to confirm though, so maybe I'm wrong.
