sandra bezic explained that those who do land throws regularly = men are doing their job in throwing the women always at the same strength and height.

She said that the women need to set up the path of the throw and the man needs to follow within that path.

She then said that Danny is ahead of Ellie in the path of the throw, sort of rushing her, hence the falls.

What is puzzling me is how nobody is fixing this since it's been a problem for a few seasons now.
thanks for relaying Sandra's explanation. I've thought for a long time that the problem could be as much in the throwing as in the landing.

The coaches could be working on fixing this, but habits can take longer to break in competition. the famous muscle memory taking over.

Ichat is currently watching curling, but she will be joining in for what we Koreans call 'responsibility-free pleasure'. No kids or faves of mine to stress over and me being mostly indifferent to the podium results equals enjoyable FS watching, why can't every competition be like this I wonder... I know that drama will be inevitable and it'll only grow with the singles (which I will quite likely escape from) but hoping that pairs cause only a tolerable level of drama

I am co-watching curling with you....

Day 3 of the Olympic Team Event starts with the Paris skaters.

Livestream for the Pairs FS is now on air.

The BBC don't tell us what they will be showing on each channel, or if it will include the skating. So I will hedge my bets and provide links to both broadcasts.

I suppose I'll be watching for a while before I need to run errands...

Final day of the team event!
With how close the teams are, today could go in any direction.
Every performance counts ...

Does anyone know if the team event will be on TV on Radio-Canada, CBC or NBC or only online stream ?
I prefer to watch it on tv

yesterday I had it on sports network (live)

Right now, SRC is showing repeat curling and I am thinking that they will be showing the team event because there is a current Canadian live curling game they could be showing and they are not
