funny joke- even when he has gone clean, the judges never went with him. that rollercoaster of a team event free skate and then losing it- knowing that even if he has been the international #3 this entire season, his spot is the least safe. He needs to be perfect at all times unfortunately.

Sato must be kicking himself he wasted his energy on that team free skate for nothing in the end. He could have jumped triples and got silver.

Now he's no chance for the podium.

I don't think he's lost the podium for sure yet, just not set himself up as well as he could have. And he did get a silver in the team event, so it's not like he was wrong to strategize the way he did
