Yeah. Jun was robbed.
Not so sure Cha was robbed. Shun was lucy because any of those men within 2 pts could have been third. I k ind of really don't like the placements here not that I dislike anyone so much but it just seems to get gold because everyoen sated so bad and you after having great consistency issue did youbest sate at the olympics. I geuess that is life and though it doesn't make logic give the three ice dance teams on the poidum gold the men's event is so unsatisfying. No one really skated a fierce program (Sorry Mikhail) Yes it doesn't matte rwhat happenes in practice or past events but this is not good. Yuma once again manages to cling on like last year worlds. Look who came second in the fee skate. A sater who was thought to struggle to maybe qualify to compete the fs.

The team event FS which was considered quite bad for Malinin's standard would have been more than enough today. The watered down program from US nationals would have been more than enough. He was unusually shaky and scratchy in the short training clips that popped up here and there ... can new boots have such an effect? He seems to be a different skater compared to December GPF ... and the competitions before that were solid, step by step taking more difficulty in. Then something decisive must have happened. His timing was repeatedly and completely off. He can be very happy that he was able to hold it together after that bad short in the team event and got a gold for himself and his teammates. Would have been impossible without this extra point coming from Kam/O'Shea.

This result may actually make Malinin more relatable to people and endear him more to the public. Everyone loves a great comeback story! It’s never the athletes who win all the time that inspire people the most. This will humble and humanize him and make him more marketable.

I'm dead and resurrected at the same time. Strange feeling.
this event creates a strange feeling. Ilia was a hot mess. Yumanot much better. Mihail cleanet of all but not inspiring skating. The closes might be the Canadian and he seemed to be lucky just to make the free skate.

Well, karma does exist.

Shun didn't get his team medal because judges put Ilia first.

Now Shun has an individual bronze and Ilia has nothing.

Congratulations to Shaidorov. Not his fan, but at least he is not an arrogant showman.
Ilia has a team gold medal actually.

I'm not his biggest fan but everyone around him has hyped him up massively. Any athlete who has won worlds 3 times is bound to have a lot of self belief. And he does have a jump that nobody else can land, unfortunately he wasn't able to show it tonight.

Cha was robbed because Kagiyama was overscored, not Shun. Shun by all the rules out there should have won silver. Kagiyama SP and FS were overscored like crazy. Kagiyama shouldn't have been on the podium, let alone with silver. Should have been Shaidorov, Sato, Cha.

As my sainted mother would say:

Holy Mary, Mother of God, what just happened here?

If anyone had this podium in this order, contact me with stock picks and lottery numbers please.

And I do love happy skaters, and Shun and Misha, god bless, are happy.
I'm pretty close except for Misha

Honestly they still need Ilia next month if they want to keep 2 spots

The menning in the final group, I can't believe it.
I’m not convinced it was just menning. I’m concerned about the ice. Is this the same ice they practice on?
