No q for Sofia, unfortunately all levels ate like 5 points into her score. Maybe even 6.

But, yeah, easily the most enjoyable performance in a while from a woman skater. Flirty, without being cheap or labored. Jumps both graceful and powerful. Plus, glowing happiness that fits the program. Good stuff.

They did talk about her low spin levels hurting her bigtime, don't remember if they said anything about PCS.

So far the standouts for me have been Haein Lee and Sofia. Didn't see the first group so don't have an opinion on them. Jia's program has also grown on me. Wishing good things for the last two groups!

One pet peeve I have: I don't like the new trend of skaters touching the boards in front of the judges, or making scarring final poses in judges' faces! Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fun of the judges either, but I would not be happy with skaters startling me!

Caught up a little bit. There's an easy way to determine an Eteri student, lots of tiny little hops on the ice to gain speed, I haven't missed those hops.

From her PCSs, SS seems a bit low. Like, she's not Kaori, but below 8 seems stingy.

It was not low PCS, only 0.5 point behind the first two and I agree with that. Petrosian is faster and more intricate and Haein is more sophisticated and artistic.

Bad draw for Ami. Skating first means you have to hold back in warm up...you want to save your energy for the skate.

It's getting old ya. If you do it, you have to do it with attitude, like Aymoz. Lorine's attempt was too tame.
