The beginning was really bad from Repond but I'm glad that she salvaged the program afterwards. Jumps looked lower than usual (and Kimmie isn't known from some terrific height to begin with), especially the first two on which she fell barely had any height she needed.

Social media, news being crazy. A ton of skaters I love will retire immediately afterward. If you make an error you might have another shot in 4 years or never. Citizenship issues.

Those about to retire, I wish them all the best as they move on to whatever the future holds for them. And those who made a mistake here or didn’t have the skates they wanted—at least they made it to the Olympics, and that is a tremendous achievement!

As for social media, it doesn’t add anything to the sport, I agree, but it’s the modern way, we just have to live with it I guess
