That was a really tough skate from Daiya, but he has a lot of potential too. I'm guessing he was stressed about being in medal contention and then after he heard Taiga's score, he knew he had to be flawless, which is a lot to handle for someone in your JWorlds debut especially after opening with a fall. Still, he regrouped well, and he has wonderful flow out of his jumps even if they don't have the optimal landing.

Daiya. Wonderful shirt and a wonderful program. First 2 jumping passes has errors, but the rest was wonderful.

Rough skate for Dayia today However, he put it together after mistakes and overall - strong jr wordls debut and lot of things to be proud of.

That went similarly to Yanhao's skate - Good on both of them for being able to put the two early mistakes aside and skate very good programs after that.

Don't be too upset, Daiya, you will come back stronger from this and have already made it so far by being selected for Jr Worlds in the competitive Japanese field. Onwards and upwards

Minkyu is just so good, as both a skater and a jumper. Everything he does just oozes quality, it's such a shame about the quad fall but it is so incredible to see a junior man with such attention to detail to the choreo and in-betweens. He even tricked me into liking an Exogenesis program!

I do hope he's okay after the fall though, I'm used to the Olympic cushy boards but that was a hard fall into a solid wall.
