2025-26 Coaching, Country and Discipline Changes

They are in the background of Filip T Instagram story today from the gym, so currently they are in Finland and unless they are trying out different locations it hopefully means they have moved training base to Finland and will train under Margaglio 🙏
Natalia and Yuka have posted in their stories from Vierumäki, which is a common athelete's camp area here in Finland. Especially skaters train there often. There is s third person in that post. Is she Milla? It is dark there and at the monent I have only small cell phone now so it is difficult to check.

No that is not Milla, the third person has darker hair. The person looks familiar but I can´t really remember who that is.

Veronika Zhilina (RUS --> AZE) has finally secured RusFed release to compete for Azerbajan as per https://ria.ru/20260521/zhilina-2093806210.html She still requires ISU approval as per https://ria.ru/20260521/zhilina-2093786866.html

Kira Trofimova (RUS --> BYS) according to the same source, Kira Trofimova secured a release to compete for Belorussia citing her father's ethnicity as Belorussian.

The article also anticipates that AZE will potentially recruit a pair team as well to complete a team in this Olympic cycle.

I am happy for Veronika. And it looks like Plushenko's son will compete for AZE.

Once again, I'll have to ask some of the GSers to kindly post full info when adding content, so that I don't have to do research on forums and beyond to update the OP.
I guess Rachel Samiri is in singles then, but representing which country? USA? And switching from who to who?
And what's the name of Plushenko's son?
Thx!

Rachel Samiri was at US Nationals this season. She finished seventh in juniors. Her coaches then were Sviatlana Anisimava & Lauri Varvais. She is from California. (Simi Valley).

The post here linked an Instagram from one of Alysa Liu's coaches, so I presume Rachel is now with the San Francisco Bay Area-based duo Phillip DiGuglielmo and Massimo Scali.

She was one of the novice skaters who finished high enough in qualifiers to compete Junior at Nationals.

Julia Grabowski (GER 🇩🇪) has switched from women's singles to pairs.

Now officially official - Julia Grabowski / Lukas Gneidig have formed a new pairs team for Germany 🇩🇪

Julia was previously a singles skater, winning German Sr Nationals this season, while Lukas has competed on the JGP and medalled twice at Jr Nationals in pairs with two different partners in recent years.

Does anybody know if he found a partner? He keeps posting solo work to his IG and it makes me wonder if he's returning to singles due to not finding a partner. They could just be waiting for a big reveal, but all of his solo posts just got me wondering.
He was tagged in this post for Pairs training at Great Park Ice, so probably waiting for a big reveal:

^^ Already being discussed in U.S. pairs thread. Maybe it will be McBeath/ Nagy or maybe not. (Shrug) Katie has been reported/speculated to have tried out with Danylo Siianytsia, tho' I can't see either desiring to leave their respective training camps.

Emily Chan has also being reported to have tried out with Danylo Siianytsia. In a recent Thailand training camp post, there are photos of Emily demonstrating pairs moves with Timmy Chapman (since splitting with Ellie Korytek, Timmy has been searching for a new partner for over a year).

That’s interesting. It’s usually the women who have problems finding a partner, is it not?

There were photos on Finland's fed's FB from that Vierumäki camp, and the photos were taken by Nikolaj Majorov. Maurizio also appeared at those photos, so is this clue they are training with Maurizio's team? So far nothing is told officially. This is just speculation, as there were skaters from 13 countries, so there has been also other coaches.
