Yuzuru Hanyu

The Kiss & Cry Magazine had an interview of David Wilson, who said that Yuzuru Hanyu had reinjured his ankle in January... after so many months of maintenance... This explains the ice on the ankle which had been quite commented after Notte Stellata in March, when fans saw this footage by the same David Wilson...

Shae-Lynn Bourne too was interviewed by Kiss & Cry and confirmed the injury. And his worries because he wasn't jumping as much as usual...

I'm sorry, I completely missed the Radiko program of June which was tonight (Japan Time) on the theme: Memories that renewed my love for him and the programs that made it happen" — which was quite a broad theme, being about Yuzuru Hanyu. Furthermore, the organisers seem to have deleted the post itself? I do hope that there will be a replay period as usual!

Very late edit: the Tweet is back so I post it:

New edit a few minutes after: it's not OP, it's a new Tweet announcing that the June program is indeed available for replay until June 10th.

Teapot Magazine has posted an article on Kiss & Cry Stage 5, with four large photos including both covers:

Here's the article:

For NekoMasamune, June 4th is Insect Day for phonetic reasons (and perhaps, because they love cosplaying as a bee):

For this fan, it's Samurai Day and they recommend the teaser from Magnificent Nine, an historical comedy featuring Yuzuru Hanyu (bald!) released ten years ago:

The video can be seen on this page of commercial rankings:

Some very deeply back - stage photos from the latest photoshoot :)

PS Just to make it clear, these photos were posed and the bathroom was a part of the set, he was not followed there by an annoying photographer

This Weekend, there will be an Aqua Experience Event in Fukuoka, and customers will be able to take photos by Yuzuru Hanyu's commercial costume or the giant screen:

Actually, given the success of the Aqua Experience Fair in Tokyo, Aqua decided to hold such a fair in four different cities this month, next Weekend in Fukuoka, the Weekend after the next in Sendai (surprise!), then in Nagoya and Osaka:

.... and Satomi Ito posted a short video from the photoshoot showing Yuzu on the ice!!! Just gorgeous! The way he moves - incredible, no one does it like him

Oh wow.... this is the thing, he is more electric and commanding doing this than most skaters can manage in a whole program.

It seems that, learning from watching great models while they pose, and having the very fast eye of a Photographer, he understood the principles of Photographic pose and adapted it to the ice; this, while having always understood his costumes and "what they want", I think that Tokay's "lesson" from the Elle/Gucci photo shoot, that clothes have a way they want to be worn, was putting into words what he had always felt with Figure Skating costumes?

Following the tremendous success of their (January) lecture in Kobe, Sports Reporter Megumi Takagi and Sports Photographer Taito Kobayashi are going to have a new one in Aoyama, Tokyo on August 9th, with the same title, The Charm of the Undisputed Champion Yuzuru Hanyu:

If I understand correctly, it will be the same classroom as Taichi Kaizuka's lecture, on July 20th, on the Expressive Artistry of Professional Figure Skater Yuzuru Hanyu:

And here's a comment from Yuzu himself

And a translation of their exchange:
Satomi Ito:
The fact that we were able to realize the photo shoot on the ice.
It was only thanks to the understanding and cooperation of many people, including Yuzuru Hanyu. I am truly grateful to him for having created the work together with us within the limited time. I would be delighted if you could feel the moments born precisely because it was on the ice through the photo book.※Permission has been granted

Yuzuru:
I was fully focused on being able to express on the ice the wishes, feelings, and imagery that Ito-san poured into it! I would be so happy if I was able to help even a little... Thank you so much for everything!

Tomorrow June 6th at 5pm (Japan Time), the News Every Youtube channel will have a Chinese version of Yuzuru Hanyu's latest broadcast with them and their report on Towa 2026 Notte Stellata:
