Lauriault/ LeGac don't have the best skating skills, but they're very entertaining. And they got a breath of fresh life and more interesting programs when they moved to IAM Ontario last season. Still, the judges clearly do not view them as a top flight ice dance team, at least not in the top ten. La/Le were 13th at 2026 Worlds and 14th at 2026 Olympics.Marie-Jade Lauriault & Romain Le Gac are still in with years of experience. It will be interesting to see how they stack up.
(And it could so easily have happened, as the NI edition of the grown-up version of the show, "Just For Laughs", was filmed around the university I went to at the time I was there.

It's LaBaAny program announcements yet by LaLuc?
I especially like this because it sounds like the French phrase “là-bas” (over there). It's LaBa![]()
Could be LaBae, pronounced 'bay'I especially like this because it sounds like the French phrase “là-bas” (over there).

Wow that’s crazy so JL knew as early as nationals - that would mean Marjo and Zach would have probably gone into the last season knowing that it would be their last one together.Heads up: Jackie Wong and Michelle Ellis discussed the new partnership announcement. Jackie talks about how he knew early on as his practice cam announcement partner for U.S. Nats is Jean-Luc, and they had been brainstorming ideas for next season. Jean-Luc, of course, wanted to let Jackie know he wa partnering with Marjo before an announcement was made. Jackie offers some interesting insights, plus news about the ISU Congress, and additional skating news.

No. I don't think it happened as early as U.S. Nats. The decision re the split probably came about shortly after '26 Worlds. Then, later Jean-Luc partnering with Marjorie began to come together. I think Jean-Luc told Jackie sometime in April or early May. Of course, whatever Lajoie & Lagha discussed between themselves prior to or during the season is between them. I don't think Jean-Luc came into the picture as a possible partner for Marjo until after the LaLa split had occurred.Wow that’s crazy so JL knew as early as nationals - that would mean Marjo and Zach would have probably gone into the last season knowing that it would be their last one together.
Ah okay that makes more sense. I misunderstood your original post - thanks for clarifying.No. I don't think it happened as early as U.S. Nats. Probably because Jean and Jean are pronounced and gendered differently in French and English.I'm surprised no one suggested MarJean yet - I'll put it forward as my suggestion then![]()
Bakerie is just too funny, it has my vote.Well we need to figure it out.. Is it LaBa or Bakerie ? It's already confusing enough for some when we used these monikers if on top of that we have two. people will pass out.
