Ladies Free Skate

Bthw, Leonova CAN jump.
Go, Alena!!!!!

And one of the jumps in the long program was landed cleanly, improvement from the short - but of course I suppose based on the PCS there was something nice about the program, I must have blinked during that portion.

The girl from Sweden has really odd music cuts. It just went from Beethoven's 5th Symphony to the Somewhere in Time soundtrack.

Whatever the reason, I do believe that Leonova's PCS were inflated. I won't argue about SS and TR, but at least for PE and IN, she should've been behind Zhang, IMO.

Caroline had no downgrades. 7 ratified triples.
Ratified by whom? I'd rather wait for the protocols.

Many skaters, from both sides of the Atlantic, get edge calls and URs. I don't really see a need for anyone to turn this into an American vs. European thing. But that's where the ignore feature comes in handy (not in reference to you, Dave).

Looks like another bad skate from an European girl, I hope the scores will reflect that, cough, cough, Kostner.:rock:

In the short program. Underrotated both triples, I believe. She's not known for her jumping, they're not high and the landings aren't fluid, plus the worst mule kick I've ever seen. Her strengths are in other areas.

I read it at FSU, apparently someone there rinkside has access to this information.

The Europeans want a first class lady skater. I think the European judges outnumber the Asian, N.American judges.

isn't that understandable with only country in north america with short of medal being canada and US, and in asia japan , korea and China have good skaters. Most of asian countries can't afford any artifical ice.

You are correct, I'm certainly not defending her jump technique, I thought you were saying she had lots of downgrades in the LP.

That is always and will be the case...unless US and Canada will fall in pieces!

Well since most European countries are now belonging to EU, why can't they just nominate ONE judge to represent them all? haha
