Michael Jackson Dead

Whoa...I actually cried after hearing the news. People are playing Billie Jean on the street in his honor, and I can't just stop crying.. Not just because I'm a big fan of his, but because all the crap he has gone through makes me so angry and sad.

RIP Michael. Thank you for everything.
 
Jackson family attorney says Michael could have O.D.ed as he's been on a lot of perscribed meds as of late... this is the "family attorney", not his attorney, if that makes a difference.

As far as the media in the 90's, he brought it on himself with his own behavior. While I admire him as an artist, his outward behavior pre-children was odd. JMHO.

I hope that his will is in order for the sake of his children and that they are taken care of by people who truly love them and will raise them well.

though I guess now is not the best time to get into that, I don't truly think we'll ever know his life story... and even though they have person after person on the cable news shows saying how they hope all the bickering and fighting that was constantly around him will die off, I doubt it highly...

considering he had so much financial trouble and the record label battles, what is there left for his three children?

He still owned his songs. He may still have owned the Lennon & McCartney catalogue (or maybe he had to sell that). The annual publishing income from both is substancial.
It is true that he had financial problems but part of that was from some bad business deals and the exceptionally high cost of his lifestyle. His legal fees alone in the past six years topped 20 million dollars.
Hopefully, things will be OK for his children.
 
I was surprised when I saw the news at work. I would have to say I was not much of a fan. He was a great performer, but I just heard too many stories. :eek:
 
I think I ll skip to a Friends Dvd also or Will & Grace , cause i even listened to billie jean on the metro speakers this morning...
although i saw a nice picture, i was passing through the grasses of Uni and some people were talking about his songs, imagine most of people around here were not born when thriller was out.

So your final judgement on eulogizing Michael was that there were just too many stories and a reference to his performing. :scratch:
 
The whole world loves MJ since he was ten and for 40 years, people saw him grow up, got married, have children, and had problems just like everybody else. We must remember him for what he has contributed in this world, which is the music industry. He was about to redeem himself with his upcoming shows. He led two lives, on stage/music - where he brought people together with his music/dance/song and his other life off stage, exposed to all the entertainment problems, media , stress, and entertainment artists' way of life. Still in spite of all those problems, he's the major contributor and influence to what our music industry has developed into which is a very good thing, if asked what he has done with his talent in regards to helping or changing people's way of life.

No one is perfect, some may have more faults than the others but at the end, the question is What's The Greatest Contribution He Has Done To This World? and Will He Be Remembered For It/Them? THE MUSIC INDUSTRY and of course he will always be remembered as he was destined to and will always be in people's hearts and lives from now on.

So Michael, the whole world is missing you and will never be the same without you.
 
I wouldn't say the whole world LOVES him... we know of him, like some of his music, but the only reason he's on my TV or radio this mornng is because the media is oversaturated with the news... I don't think I'm the only one who thinks it's shocking, and a touch sad, but isn't in mourning.
 
I think Michael was a genius...he inspired the music and dance industry. I don't think that anyone can deny that his music will live on.

I think it is very appropriate to say the world is mourning the loss of Michael but some may not be grieving the loss.

I was reading some of the comments from the stars and I think LLCool J said it best.

Personality aside, not much a fan of SOME of the choices and questionable behavior - but many stars are that way.

However this is one I question the death. Not convenced

Michael had to sell the Lennon/McCartney catalog to Sony to raise cash.

As per an earlier report on Yahoo, the kids are with Michael's mother.

I agree - his body of work as a musician, dancer and stage entertainer are his legacy to the world, which is why is mourned around the world. There aren't many entertainers who can bring fans to the point of hysteria in concert - MJ, Beattles, Elvis. I left out the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus because their biggest fans aren't adults right now.

The world doesn't know the man well enough to mourn him - they are mourning the end of his artistry. Only his familly and friends are truly mourning the death of the man.
 
BTW, when I mentioned 'pre children' I meant the period between the peak of his professional career and when he became a parent.
