Caroline Zhang's 2009-10 season

I tried following Caroline on Twitter but she's protected her updates now and hasn't accepted me yet...

But a poster over at SashaFans went to see the show with Mirai skating. Apparently Mirai did two programs, the second of which was probably her Pirates of the Caribbean SP. She popped one jump in her SP but other than that it was reported that she looked good.

She has not posted anything new on Twitter since July 27.

We can probably take that as a good sign. If she was sitting around the house being bored, she would be on Twitter all day. Since she hasn't posted, she must be keeping herself busy.

When I got laid off back in December, the hardest thing for me to do was finding things to keep myself busy with. I was unemployed for 5 weeks, and it seemed like forever.

She twittered today "time to get back to serious training", so she must be back on ice again! Yay, that means it couldn't have been a very serious injury. And skipping the show last Saturday probably was a very decision to help it heal quickly. So relieved. :)

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend Golden West this year after all. :( :( :(

Can anyone else go? I hope there will be reports and videos!

Glad you landed back on your feet. I hope you got a big raise.

First, way to go Bob!

Second, I noticed Caroline's profile page on icenetwork has been updated and it says:

"SP Music: "Zigeunerweisen" by Pablo de Sarasate
FS Music: Music from The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky "

Does "Music from" worry anyone besides me? I was hoping if it was gonna be Nutcracker, please let it be one of the pas de deux's.....now I'm wondering if she's got an almalgamation of many different parts of the ballet, which wouldn't be too surprising since she did that for Sleeping Beauty. If so, I hope she doesn't use the cuts Mao used.

If it is a music cut with all the most famous melodies of the Nutcracker, let's just hope that it's better than the Phantom-Of-The-Opera-cut Nichol gave to Chan.

It is the pas de deux.

It is the pas de deux.

Have you (or anyone) seen her new program?

Any updates on how Caroline is doing now that she's back from that small break? Is her knee better? I heard she was having a bit of trouble before (with her flips?) but was that just the knee?

has caroline confirmed that she will participate in golden west?

and if it's the nutcracker pas de deux, which pas de deux? the one in act 2 that everybody and their brother used? or the one in act 1?

not that i mind war horses--if the choreography is suitable. we'll see.
