Kim's representatives end Orser's coaching relationship threads merged

:) Wait a minute... Insulted?...what are you smoking?.. How could anyone be insulted that both the top female skaters in the world want to work with you.? At that point ,Yuna had not said that she would continue...Brian had said that whatever she decided ,he wanted it to be her decision, so he wasn't going to pressure her..If she had decided to retire , why should he not then consider a part-time situation with Mao, as she wanted from TAT ?...or help with the 3-3, or perfecting the 3a ( since he always had one of the most beautiful in the biz ) ?...Yuna was his priority.. That was an honest and considerate explanation.

US is 14, SK 56, JPN 81 ?

LOL and Bangledesh is 91. Obviously I'm wrong. Whoops. I thought that Sweden had the highest suicide rates a few years ago when another study came out but until I find a link for it, I'll go with the new one.

Edit: Just to note, the way this study was done was by how difficult life daily life was and then attributed that to happiness. I don't think there's necessarily a relation between the two. Good living and happiness are NOT the same thing.

Sorry no more offtopic posts from me.

? Who?

I think it COULD if the Korea/Japan thing comes into play and the fact that Mao/ Yuna have been at each other's throats COMPETITIVELY (seems personally left alone they got along well together) it would be to ignore a HUGE rivalry (world stage) to say hey its JUST 2 skaters.

Then again, Yuna never seemed at ALL opposed to Mao personally. Frankly, I thought the 2 of them got along well together UNTIL the media started playing the Korea/Japan angle and then the 2 countries came in and we ended up with the youtube videos of each side hoping the other skater would fall during the Olympic Vancouver games lol which were entertaining (sorry, I thought those in the video were having competitive fun, rather than out of serious malice or anything especially if you're as biased as they were LOL). So I don't think Yuna would have been opposed to Brian working with Mao.

Conjecture at this point. I doubt we'll get another news article from here on out since Brian and ATS have shut up.

Is there an English version of the article that says Yuna will be at a different rink? Seems the media just stopped talking about it period.

Just kidding and there in nothing wrong with following the thread. Besides, this topic has been intense at times and more than one poster has mentioned the occassional humorous posts here were a welcome change.

Sorry, I will never post another off-topic post unles I feel like it

BTW, on the silly music post I made a while ago - that was Tina Turner singing with Marvin. And it was 1965. How old is Tina Turner and can she still do a triple salchow :p

Are you aware you and I are tie at 98 even though I started 3 years ago...start to post.
I made my posts as brief as possible...always...you know why?

I just use one finger...that is my right index.

 Sorry..further to wait a minute...If Mao's people did 'approach' Brian with some hypothetical questions... I'm sure they wouldn't have been asking him to be disloyal to Yuna ( what a storm that would have set off..).. I'm sure their supposed ;) interest would have been contingent on Yuna retiring..Mao surely wouldn't want to share a coach any more than Yuna would.

Yet if there was rancour in Yuna's camp over this..if they would have felt betrayed ,even if Yuna retired ..it might partly play into their hiding plans from Brian for as long as possible...Please note ,I say "they", not necessarily Yuna herself..

Had to come back.. Tina Turner is ageless and can still do anything...I bet.

I keep thinking...if anyone needed to be fired or laid off, Helen Choi should have been before Brian Orser. She hasn't impressed me with anything and has already given us multiple examples of her ineptitude. Late and badly written answers to e-mail interviews, poor translation skills, dawdling behind YuNa after business is done and having YuNa walk alone to the car while she chit-chats...
It was seen months before this thing. Actually since the first moment this woman appeared, everything got messy. First the horrible translation where Yuna was understanding more than translator, then those little incidents with fans, and now she is in the middle of the mess too... I don't know what errors made Yuna right now, but her biggest error was not pursuing learning English to the point of fluency. I rarely criticize anything about Yuna, because there is approximately nothing to criticize, but this is something she really could do better. I don't know if this wouldn't happen, but at least we wouldn't have so much Ms Choi.

As about this thread... I can't believe you went on almost 10 pages discussing the e-mail. There is nothing interesting in it. It's not an official e-mail and Brian talks to her like to a friend. It's doesn't help in anything. The problem was something before and, maybe, after this e-mail was sent. I don't criticize you, I think that a lot of us want to know the reason. I would like to know it too. But we simply can't reach to it.

I said just some minutes ago that all 3 of them: Brian, Yuna, Yuna's mother are the people that I would never believe are lying. That put me in a very bad situation when it all started, it was like a nightmare. Obviously they are not perfect, so probably all of them did something wrong. In fact, they did. ATS is at fault of not being professional. Brian is at fault of disclosing letters and chasing Yuna to the point of no return. Yuna - of being too emotional. But maybe it was almost impossible for them to act better.

ATS is a new company and you always are at risk when creating your own company. And the situation was really hard for Ms Park. I'm not sure most of you people would do it better. It's easy to give free advices. Brian was hurt as deeply as one could be. I think he is regretting a lot of things he did. Yuna... Well, she was the one who suffered the most, probably from the start. Not only because she is younger, but just because that Brian probably represented for her more that she was for Brian.

Because you only have one finger or because you only type with one finger?

I've joined a lot of message boards. And I end up posting a lot so I try to limit myself to not joining message boards lol since trying not post a lot has never worked. I don't talk much in person so I guess I write all that much more.

Edit: I meant it as a lighthearted joke. I hope I didn't offend. Nothing wrong with typing with one finger. Its what my Dad does. Tap. Tap. Tap. vs. Tatatatata.

I agree with you everything...Daniel.
I am your friend.
I love Yuna as much as you do.
I watched her Bulletproof 5 times already...today alone.

:biggrin:Daniel..So you're saying shoot the messenger ?

In all of this the one thing I think it's safe to believe is that you are a kindly soul...But I think far too kind to Ms Park. As you say, forming an agency is no small task..You don't think her own ambition plays any part in this ? To what degree do you think she sees Yuna's success as her own (Mee-Hee's) accomplishment ...skating careers are relatively short for most, but agents and managers can go on for decades.

Well, we may very well end up going to 11 pages because of your post. ;) Nothing wrong with that.

We should change the topic to what Yuna should do from here on out...

#1. FIRE THE TRANSLATOR.
#2. FIRE THE PR people at ATS.
#3. Mom "retires" from agent position and takes up the position of consultant (might make it happen easier).
#4. Get NEW Agent, NEW translator, NEW PR.
#5. NEW coach. I bet there are TONS of coaches who would like to work with her. Although right now the hottest coach in FS right now is Brian Orser because of Yuna. (Go to Tarasova lol JK JK. !!! Did Tarasova invite YK??? JK JK.:scowl::p)

If we follow Mathman's interesting plot line, maybe Yuna can exact a counter punch by hiring Tarasova.

Yeah I don't know what to say about that study. LOL. With the American economy the way it is right now and the sentiment, I'd say 14 is a bit TOO high. :p:think:

Enough politics.

No new email. We're talking the old one in Phil Hersch's column. Man that guy single-handedly blew things up. :scowl:

If not for Mirai I am sure we would drop below Greece. :)

I can imagine Yuna program pretending a fake wall opens in front of her, make the earth as a ball and at the end she will pick some ice and make it snow :)

If you think, that I write too much and I'm obsessive, aggressive, persistent and boring, you should say me that clearly :) Otherwise I won't understand.

I'm sorry if I'm too serious about this. I just want to get things clear. For myself, at least.

Thank you.

You know, this is a hard subject. I am fan of Yuna, but I am not a fan of her mother. In the terms, that I respect her, of course, but I don't feel, that she did everything right. Since I became fan of Yuna, I wanted to figure out if Ms Park has any negative influence to Yuna and what is her role in all this. A long time ago there was an article who painted her as typical obsessive mother who knows better what is good for her daughter than anyone else. So I was observing this slowly and I came to think that she is not that obsessive, cruel mother. It's true that sometimes she was very hard to her daughter (like the famous 100 laps episode), but no more than some normal parents would do. Yuna was on the edge of retiring before, but it was not her mother who was convincing her to stay. So I think, that the main ambition of Ms Park is just her daughter's well being. Of course, I don't know what she wants to achieve with ATS. If she wants to be manager now not only for Yuna, but for other skaters. But I really don't think that her influence on Yuna is more significant, than the influence of the mother for most people.
When first interviews with Brian came out, I was afraid that this point of view can be wrong, because I believed Brian and I though "Oh no, so her mother really controls Yuna!". But later I returned to this point of view. There is no any evidence that it's false besides this Brian's statements. And he may not be objective because of the circumstances. Sometimes when people break up, they tend to believe that it was because of parents, or bad friends, or something. It's, maybe, normal in some way.
