I was pretty sure MY FACE was the happiest place on earth. Wait. Off-topic? Thought so.
Let's remember that this thread is about Yu-Na's coaching change. Not Mao, not other general Yu-Na news, not Denmark/Bangladesh, nor golf.
Just saying.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:US is 14, SK 56, JPN 81 ?
Wait a minute... Insulted?...what are you smoking?.. How could anyone be insulted that both the top female skaters in the world want to work with you.? At that point ,Yuna had not said that she would continue...Brian had said that whatever she decided ,he wanted it to be her decision, so he wasn't going to pressure her..If she had decided to retire , why should he not then consider a part-time situation with Mao, as she wanted from TAT ?...or help with the 3-3, or perfecting the 3a ( since he always had one of the most beautiful in the biz ) ?...Yuna was his priority.. That was an honest and considerate explanation.
LOL and Bangledesh is 91. Obviously I'm wrong. Whoops. I thought that Sweden had the highest suicide rates a few years ago when another study came out but until I find a link for it, I'll go with the new one.
Sorry no more offtopic posts from me.![]()

Sorry..further to wait a minute...If Mao's people did 'approach' Brian with some hypothetical questions... I'm sure they wouldn't have been asking him to be disloyal to Yuna ( what a storm that would have set off..).. I'm sure their supposed
interest would have been contingent on Yuna retiring..Mao surely wouldn't want to share a coach any more than Yuna would. It was seen months before this thing. Actually since the first moment this woman appeared, everything got messy. First the horrible translation where Yuna was understanding more than translator, then those little incidents with fans, and now she is in the middle of the mess too... I don't know what errors made Yuna right now, but her biggest error was not pursuing learning English to the point of fluency. I rarely criticize anything about Yuna, because there is approximately nothing to criticize, but this is something she really could do better. I don't know if this wouldn't happen, but at least we wouldn't have so much Ms Choi.I keep thinking...if anyone needed to be fired or laid off, Helen Choi should have been before Brian Orser. She hasn't impressed me with anything and has already given us multiple examples of her ineptitude. Late and badly written answers to e-mail interviews, poor translation skills, dawdling behind YuNa after business is done and having YuNa walk alone to the car while she chit-chats...
Are you aware you and I are tie at 98 even though I started 3 years ago...start to post.
I made my posts as brief as possible...always...you know why?
I just use one finger...that is my right index.

I agree with you everything...Daniel.prettykeys

As about this thread... I can't believe you went on almost 10 pages discussing the e-mail. There is nothing interesting in it. It's not an official e-mail and Brian talks to her like to a friend. It's doesn't help in anything. The problem was something before and, maybe, after this e-mail was sent. I don't criticize you, I think that a lot of us want to know the reason. I would like to know it too. But we simply can't reach to it.
I said just some minutes ago that all 3 of them: Brian, Yuna, Yuna's mother are the people that I would never believe are lying. That put me in a very bad situation when it all started, it was like a nightmare. Obviously they are not perfect, so probably all of them did something wrong. In fact, they did. ATS is at fault of not being professional. Brian is at fault of disclosing letters and chasing Yuna to the point of no return. Yuna - of being too emotional. But maybe it was almost impossible for them to act better.
ATS is a new company and you always are at risk when creating your own company. And the situation was really hard for Ms Park. I'm not sure most of you people would do it better. It's easy to give free advices. Brian was hurt as deeply as one could be. I think he is regretting a lot of things he did. Yuna... Well, she was the one who suffered the most, probably from the start. Not only because she is younger, but just because that Brian probably represented for her more that she was for Brian.
Daniel..So you're saying shoot the messenger ?
there is a new mail or you talk about the one that was previous day?I can't believe you went on almost 10 pages discussing the e-mail.

Costa rica looks a happy place

Yeah I don't know what to say about that study. LOL. With the American economy the way it is right now and the sentiment, I'd say 14 is a bit TOO high.
Enough politics.
No new email. We're talking the old one in Phil Hersch's column. Man that guy single-handedly blew things up. :scowl:
I can imagine Yuna program pretending a fake wall opens in front of her, make the earth as a ball and at the end she will pick some ice and make it snowIf we follow Mathman's interesting plot line, maybe Yuna can exact a counter punch by hiring Tarasova.
You know, this is a hard subject. I am fan of Yuna, but I am not a fan of her mother. In the terms, that I respect her, of course, but I don't feel, that she did everything right. Since I became fan of Yuna, I wanted to figure out if Ms Park has any negative influence to Yuna and what is her role in all this. A long time ago there was an article who painted her as typical obsessive mother who knows better what is good for her daughter than anyone else. So I was observing this slowly and I came to think that she is not that obsessive, cruel mother. It's true that sometimes she was very hard to her daughter (like the famous 100 laps episode), but no more than some normal parents would do. Yuna was on the edge of retiring before, but it was not her mother who was convincing her to stay. So I think, that the main ambition of Ms Park is just her daughter's well being. Of course, I don't know what she wants to achieve with ATS. If she wants to be manager now not only for Yuna, but for other skaters. But I really don't think that her influence on Yuna is more significant, than the influence of the mother for most people. In all of this the one thing I think it's safe to believe is that you are a kindly soul...But I think far too kind to Ms Park. As you say, forming an agency is no small task..You don't think her own ambition plays any part in this ? To what degree do you think she sees Yuna's success as her own (Mee-Hee's) accomplishment ...skating careers are relatively short for most, but agents and managers can go on for decades.
