Yankowskas and Coughlin rising to the top

Legendary figure skating coach Tamara Moskvina once said of pairs teams that it takes four years to come together as a team. Newly crowned U.S. pairs champions Caitlin Yankowskas and John Coughlin have proven Moskvina's theory to be true, capturing their first American title in the fourth year of their promising partnership.

I didn't know Marina Zoueva choreographed their programs. They were so beautiful at US Nationals: Their LP was my favorite program from what was a wonderful event overall.

When I first saw Coughlin with his previous partner, I blamed him for their shortcomings. He never seemed to take competition seriously. NOW, however, I've changed my tune and consider him a perfect Pairs partner.
