Anna and Martin finished 5th out of 15 in the FS, with a score of 110.10. This meant that they climbed to 5th position overall, with a score of 168.52.
Unfortunately, I was not able to watch the Golden Spin Of Zagreb, as I was concentrating on the Grand Prix Final and the final round of the Formula 1.
Looking at the Protocols, there were three elements with issues, but the Protocols only tell us what two of the issues were.
The second element, the Triple Salchow, was downgraded. It had ther third biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.65, and because it already had the lowest Base Value of the programme, it remained as the lowest scoring element of the programme. It got -5 from six Judges; and -4 from Judge 2.
In the third element, the Double Axel-Single Axel-Double Axel done in sequence, the first Double Axel was landed on the quarter, and the second Double Axel was under-rotated. It had the biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -1.65, which meant that it went from having the biggest Base Value of he programme, to being the second highest scoring element of the programme. It actually got the exact same Judges marks as the previous element: -5 from six Judges; and -4 from Judge 2.
The sixth element, the Throw Triple Salchow, had the second biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -1.41, which meant that it went from having the fourth lowest Base Value of the programme, to being the second lowest scoring element of the programme. It got -4 from two Judges; -3 from four Judges; and -2 from Judge 4.
The remaining elements had GOE ranging from +0.34 for the opening element, the Triple Twist, to +1.82 for the fourth element, the Axel Lasso Lift. The Judges marks for the elements with positive GOE ranged from 0 to +3.
Incidentally, the aforementioned Axel Lasso Lift had the joint second highest Base Value of the programme, which meant it became the highest scoring element of the programme. The other element with the joint second highest Base Value, the Reverse Lasso Lift that was the ninth element, had the second highest GOE of the programme, which ment that it became the second highest scoring element of the programme.
Anna and Martin finished the Free Skate 3.15 points behind 4th position, Oxana VOUILLAMOZ / Tom BOUVART (CHE), and 3.05 points ahead of 6th position, Irma CALDARA / Riccardo MAGLIO (ITA).
Overall, Anna and Martin finished 6.62 points behind 4th position, Aurélie FAULA / Théo BELLE (FRA), and 0.27 points ahead of 6th position, Caldara / Maglio.
Whilst it is not their highest set of scores this season, it is still a good set.
And we don't have long to wait until we see them in action again. They are back in action this coming weekend at Four Nationals, which this year is being held in Prešov, Slovakia.
WELL DONE!!!
