Really, as good an FD as I have ever seen from a Chinese team! The lifts are ingenious and quite smooth - I'm not sure how the last one will score, because I'm not sure whether she touched down during it. Very nice set of 3 twizzles. pretty good speed

I just watched their FD video from Winter Universiade. I agree with you it is the best Chinese dance I've seen. They are pretty young, and their body type are pretty ideal for ice dancers. Hope they can go further than the previous generation of Chinese ice dancers.

Completely different cuts than D&W's last year.

No, I don't like this program particularly. Their speed was quite good, but it really dragged. I liked Wang & Liu's mellow cello piece better.

and the judges agree. 111.63 into 2nd place.

They did not mess up the twizzles this time (although rather slow, and may lose one level, but no disaster)

The lift with the handstand in it was particularly nice. over 43 points before review.

Lynn & Logan's Spartacus. I love this dance 80.55 and 130 some into 1st place. Only problems I saw were problem by Logan on 1st twizzle, but no touchdown, perhaps the shoot the duck lift with split was short?

Question, does Merriman/O'Brien have the minimum TES for Worlds SD? They definitely have it for the FD. IT looks like they reached the minimum at Skate Down Under, but did it count as a qualified ISU international competition?
